Every moment spent at The Berkeley felt like a sublime indulgence, from the moment we crossed the threshold to the time we bid our heartfelt adieus. The hotel staff demonstrated an unparalleled level of professionalism that surpassed all expectations. Their dedication to guest comfort and satisfaction was evident in every interaction, with a commitment to excellence that resonated throughout the hotel.
The attentiveness and warmth exhibited by each staff member felt incredibly genuine. They seamlessly anticipated our needs, often before we were even aware of them ourselves, lending an almost psychic touch to their service. This was no ordinary hotel staff; they were more akin to a highly trained orchestra, each individual perfectly in sync with their colleagues, conducting a symphony of superior service.
The Berkeley itself marries comfort and luxury with a finesse rarely seen elsewhere. The cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel were immaculate, a testament to the high standards they uphold. From the lusciously comfortable beds to the spotlessly clean bathrooms, each space within the hotel felt like a personalized retreat, designed to envelop guests in a cocoon of tranquillity.
This luxurious London haven has left an indelible impression on us. We depart not just with fond memories of a fantastic stay, but with a renewed sense of what truly exceptional hospitality looks like. The Berkeley Hotel, with its extraordinary service, meticulous attention to detail, and an unfaltering commitment to its guests, offers not just a stay, but a spectacular experience that borders on the divine.

The Berkeley Hotel offers a sophisticated and luxurious experience, setting a very high standard for upscale accommodation in central London. From the meticulously designed room to the outstanding breakfast and attentive staff, the hotel ensures a refined stay for those seeking a premium hospitality experience.
I will definitely return.
In a time where hospitality is struggling to keep staff or have enough staff The Berkeley seems to have managed to keep plenty of familiar faces while the new ones seem to fit right in. What we have always loved about The Berkeley is its ability to offer a truely luxury hotel experience with amazing service but at the same time have a relaxedness that many of the luxury hotels in london do not. They manage to offer old school service levels in a modern and friendly way, for us thats the perfect combination.
The rooms all feel luxurious, bathroooms have great water pressure and beds so comfortable. It is not all rinse repeat either, floors have all been furnished by different designers, meaning over time you may get find you prefer some rooms to others, but each stay can feel very different, which means it never feels repetative or dull.
The rooftop pool, opened last year is a great feature, although it wasn't quite the weather to try it out on this occasion, it still offered great views of London, so we couldn't resist a quick trip up there.
With 2 great bars, possibly the best breakfast in London in The Collins Room and also Marcus which we also had a great meal at the hotel really does offer it all and there are other options as well with the ever popular Cedric Grolet Patisserie, although we were always to full after breakfast to make it there.
The hotel offers so much, but what makes the hotel is undoubtedly the amazing people working there. We cannot wait to return to our favourite place in London!

The room was, however, perfectly comfortable and the balcony provided a nice space with a good view even though it rained for most of my visit to London. The room was a bit small for a junior suite. The bathroom is great and features a large bathtub and a walk in shower with good water pressure. The 2 televisions were on flexible wall mounts which is always nice as you get a good view wherever you chose to sit. There was an espresso machine and kettle in the room and they were kind enough to provide me with an iron as soon as I asked.
The hotel have a number of measures to help keep guests and staff safe with all staff wearing face masks and hand sanitiser available in the lobby and outside the lifts on guestroom floors. They also provided face masks, hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes in the room. Overall I felt safe and I certainly trusted them to do their best in this regard.
Breakfast was a treat and I found the breakfast team very warm and welcoming. The Collins Room is also bright and airy and the perfect space for that time in the morning. The blue bar staff were professional and the cocktails were fantastic. I did not have the opportunity to try the Berkeley bar, perhaps on another visit.
Overall I really like this hotel and I think the staff are great, however with the rooms you never know what you are going to get as the room categories mostly feature a mix of designs that are very different and this has it's pros and cons.
The Berkeley has been going through an evolution over the past few years and to a degree it is still ongoing. The amazing thing about this hotel is it never stands still and is always looking at what it can do better, which is quite the challenge considering the level it is already at.
The most eye catching thing is the new heated rooftop pool with the most stunning views over Hyde Park, it is a sight to behold and one a lovely summers day, sitting there enjoying a glass of wine or cocktail is about a good a place to be in London as there is.
The rooms are all maintained to the highest of standards, beds extremely comfortable and excellent shower pressure also.
Breakfast in The Collins Room is an event in itself, the team there ensuring you go wanting for nothing, it must rank as one of the best if not the best breakfast in London. It is not just the service but quality and consistency of the breakfast and the ingredients used.
The thing that makes The Berkeley however is the people, while there are certainly new faces there are also familiar ones, they have managed to hold on to a core staff from prior to lock down and this shows. While many hotels did not keep their staff or look after the The Berkeley did what it could to keep staff and this shows when compared to many other of the luxury London hotels.
The Berkeley is an expensive hotel, there can be no denying that, which for most including us makes it a treat rather than our only London hotel, but what a treat it is, never disappointing and most certainly worth the rates it charges.
Thank you to the team and we really cannot wait to return again.
"Proper tea-making facilities in the room. None of that rubbish instant stuff. Jolly good!"Read full review
