Great central location. Service was exceptional and we were very well looked after. Not quite as grand as back in the day but great value and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a little hectic and not very warm but good selection and quality food.
Upon arrival as we were early we were greeted by Antonio on the desk and all I can say is what a breathe of fresh air. He made our experience everything and more and went beyond his duties to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We have stayed here before a few times in the last couple of years but I booked this visit being my partners birthday and Antonio put some lovely little cakes in the room on arrival and we had the most amazing room to make our weekend celebrations worth while. Ny daughter absolutely loved it. Thank you so much
Excellent hotel in the centre of Mayfair. Easy access to all the major attractions. Spacious well appointed bedroom, although a mirror near the power point would be useful. Large bathroom/shower room, having the dressing area attached is not entirely practical. Excellent spa facilities All the staff prepared to go the extra mile Unfortunately at the moment there is a noisy building project taking place in the building opposite the front door and extensive roadworks in the area. When these are completed it would be perfect
Decided to treat myself and my partner. Planned a hectic range of experiences around a central location. Ideally placed in Mayfair. Some issues with major building work taking place immediately opposite which was very intrusive and a local road closure. Under other circumstances perfect
When I arrived ,receptionist told us You don’t have any reservations Maybe you booked different hotel We almost kicked out the hotel even busyFriday evening There are some other receptionist chatting each other but no one support her We are very disappointed at this hotel
The rooms are small and very expensive. My room particularly reeked of cigarette smoke and the balcony view was extremely disappointing. However staff were very nice and the lobby smelled great. Room service food was also very good, although I didn't receive my change.
Charged my credit card 4 times and demanded cash. Still awaiting refunds. Be careful when paying for anything in the bar or at the front desk as card machines say payment declined and then debit later. So I paid FIVE times for overpriced, mediocre drinks. 5 glasses of wine for nearly £100 was bad enough without being actually charged £500. Refunds will arrive but only because I had online payment alerts. I was lucky. Be careful! It’s an overpriced and impersonal place in any case. I shall not return. Awful experience
Originally we were supposed to stay at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel, but due to renovations we were transfered to The Mayfair. We loved the experience, the service and the location. Really a great place to stay if you can afford it.
The vibe and presentation on the ground floor belies a rather tired bedroom flooor and bedroom. The reception staff were excellent as was the bar / small snacks staff. We were happy to wait for our key and we’re delighted with the courtesy shown. There is no doubt that a freshen up is required and given the (apparent) clientele I am surprised that there is no evidence of a programme of improvements. Breakfast was well run and adequate with plenty of staff around.
The hotel was excellent. The guest experience manager Mina was an absolute star. She made sure everything was perfect for our stay and I could not be more grateful. She pulled out all the stops to ensure our birthday was special. The room was lovely, a great hotel and breakfast was delicious. I would 100% recommend and I will be excited to plan my next stay!
