Travelers' Choice
The Savoy is the only luxury hotel on the River Thames. The ballet, opera, and theatre of vibrant Covent Garden are just steps away, with the City, world-renowned museums and galleries, and the designer shopping of Knightsbridge and Mayfair within easy reach. The Savoy has been woven into the fabric of London for almost 130 years, with exceptional service and memorable experiences at the heart of everything. Our team have been working hard to prepare for our guests and have implemented a range of measures to look after your well-being, but one thing remains a constant – the warmth of our Savoy welcome.

Hotel's Favorite
We had the privilege of spending 3 nights at The Savoy for our 10 year wedding anniversary. At Christmas it is truly magical; the decorations are spectacular. We had a fabulous meal at The Savoy Grill, a lovely evening with food and cocktails at The Beaufort Bar and a lovely festive Afternoon Tea in The Thames Foyer with Christmas carols. A special thanks to Rose in Thames Foyer, who it is always an absolute pleasure to see. Tony, Michael and Rob and the rest of the doorman team always greet us as if we're arriving back home. It certainly is a hotel that feels like home! We had an absolute blast; everything was perfect from start to finish as always. We can't wait to return in 2022!

Dear Emma P, Thank you for choosing The Savoy for such a special anniversary celebration and for taking the time and trouble to write a review. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback and I was delighted to know you returned home with some happy memories of your time with us, and were truly looked after by the team. It will be a pleasure to pass on your kind thoughts to Rose, Tony, Michael and Rob who I know will all be thrilled to have been mentioned. We hope to warmly welcome you and your husband again to The Savoy later this year and if we can be of any assistance in the meantime, please do let us know. With best regards, Franck X. Had the most generous welcome from the whole team, we stayed one night but also treated ourselves to afternoon tea and a spa experience. The team bent over backwards to ensure this surprise birthday visit went smoothly and included lots of personal touches to help celebrate.

Went as a couple for afternoon tea last week, having been to the American Bar a few time but never afternoon tea before. Booked it as a mid-afternoon treat during the week and took a half-day off to really relax into it. The first thing that strikes you is just how lovely the location for afternoon tea is, with a cavernous but intimate, gently art deco space given over to well-distanced, comfortable tables. A pianist tinkled away in the centre of the room, providing a relaxing but unitrusive soundtrack. London is awash with opportunities for a fancy afternoon tea, and we've sampled a good number, but this was a cut above in terms of the quality on offer. Excellent, generously filled sandwiches both classics (coronation chicken, cucumber etc) and some with a lovely twist (fresh carrots with the pastrami) started things off, accompanied by a classic minitute mushroom tart. The cake stand that followed overflowed with well-portioned, expertly constructed bites on offer. Both the chocolate choux and a rhubarb and custard tartlet were bit hits, but the scones really stood out, partly as they were mostly consumed at home that evening as no-one could get close to finishing them during the event itself. Teas on offer ran the gamut from solid, predictable options, to something more exotic and interesting. All in all a really first-rate experience and well worth the time and cost, particularly for a birthday/anniversary, as numerous other tables seemed to demonstrate. The real stars, however, and the element that added the real magic were the staff. From the second we arrived, to the much welcomed offer to expertly pack up what we couldn't attempt at the table (in beautiful packaging, of course) Lily and Abhay looked after us like we were regulars. Knowing exactly when to step in and when to give us space, attending to every matter before we even knew what we needed, and making us feel right at home throughout turned an otherwise lovely bit of classic London luxury into an afternoon to remember!
