A lot of people have complained about this place but I think one reason is their high expectations, thinking it is going to be a hotel. If you think Hostel then you'll get what you expect. For central London I paid £60 per night for a single room with a basic breakfast. I didn't expect much and therefore I wasn't... More

This place ticks the essentials of a hotel: clean, comfortable bed, appropriate bedding, shower with good water pressure and heat, and fantastic location. However, that's it. There is no life to get you up the many floors (reception is on 1st floor), the stairwell is very old with the width being not much more than a large suitcase, and the... More

For such a very reasonable price, these accommodations were great! And the staff were very helpful, especially Rupen and Alta! And for someone who loves Indian Food, I ate at least one very affordable meal at the restaurant ("India Club: Bar and Cafe") located on the 2nd Floor near to the Check-In area. The Hostel was easy to get to... More

This is not a hotel as advertised, it is a hostel. Having walked in knowing that, it was not too off from what I expected. I stayed in a 4 person room with 3 of my friends. The room was an okay size for a hotel. I found the beds to be comfortable. I was on the third floor (there... More

The so called family room, sold as a double with twin is a room no bigger than student digs with a metal bunk bed with double mattress on the bottom. It was riddled with damp, which had sheets of white paper pinned to the wall to cover, had curtain rail hanging off the ceiling over a child's bed, massive gaps under... More

This is a hostel. Stayed in a 4 room which has bunks. Mattress was uncomfortable as could feel many of the springs. Only two showers for a floor of approximately 8 rooms. Two shared toilets. Could be cleaner. You get what you pay for and this is a great location. If you only use this to sleep then it's a... More

No words can describe the strand. We arrived at the hostel (not hotel) and immediately felt uneasy. The girl at the desk was not very inviting as she gave us our instructions. We climbed up to the six floor (which was actually an attic) and walked into our filthy and stinky room. We had to make our beds and were... More

Good location, cheap, not enough to electric plug for shared room, password for the door is written on a poor piece of paper, would be much better on a card, no basin for toilet, not enough to bathing room

The hostel is located in the upper floors of a building on strand street, above a Indian restaurant. A little bit hard to find, especially due to the reacent constructions, the biggest selling point is of course the value one get for the rather cheap price. 3 nights in a 4 bed room cost me about 90 pounds total. The... More

It is a very nice hostel with absolutely great location. If you are visiting London and going to the West End theatre it is just perfect. The room was very quite - on the 5 floor with no lift. The beds were super comfortable as well as the pillows. Clean towels were a nice surrprice for us as we didn't... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
