We stayed there for one night... and apart from the fact that the bed, to our taste, was a bit too narrow for two people (which made us sleep accordingly bad), the Indigo Tower Hill is a very nice place to stay. I can recommend it with a good conscience. A receptionist by the name of Thomas (unfortunately I do... More

The hotel was easy to find, its just a minute or so walk from Aldgate station. We were greeted by friendly reception staff who allowed us to check in earlier than stated on the booking, they also told us that we had been upgraded to a suite on the top floor :-) The room was very spacious and seemed newly... Really enjoyed my stay here recently. The location is on the edge of East London, so not very touristy although still close enough to reach everything central London as to offer. Small but beautiful boutique hotel, with large rooms. Was given a top floor room which had views of the skyline, impressive at night. Stay we're friendly. Only small complaint... More

Hotel Indigo is a great little hotel in many ways. It is nicely located for the east side of London and Aldgate tube station but it is not ideal for the West End and theatreland, which lie a 15 minute underground ride away. The rooms are large by London standards and are clean and well equipped (I stayed in a... More

Immediately felt welcome and loved the style of the place. Staff were helpful and informative and I was stunned at how classy the rooms were. The breakfast was very well presented and tasty. I plan to vist again.

At short notice I had to book a hotel for work - and my company appointed agent was unable to help. I tried booking a Hilton through LateRooms but the Hilton booking system wasn't working apparently (I was told when i called the number for LateRooms). So...LateRooms' very nice lady (Georgia) suggested this hotel as an alternative so that I... More

Exceptionally well situated hotel overlooking tower bridge and Shard. Breakfast and evening meal was above average. Food was reasonably priced for Central London and was surprised not to get robbed when buying drinks..... A real bonus. Had a large family room which was well appointed with very comfortable bed.

We last visited in May to attend a wedding and this time it was for a birthday weekend. We were not disappointed. We had 2 rooms booked one for my mum and one for us with a cot for our 2 yr old daughter. We were upgraded on arrival due to being a rewards member and had two rooms facing... More

Two years since the previous visit, I stayed here with my wife for weekend. Actually quite a small (boutique) hotel. The roome that we had was beautifully decorated with london theme. Dear Guest, Let me quote George Bernanos who said: Little things seem nothing, but they give peace, like those meadow flowers which individually seem odorless but all together perfume the air. The hotel though small and everything else about it helped make your stay as perfect as you wanted. Thanks for your comments. More

Stayed here a few weeks ago and haven't stopped recommending it to friends. On arrival we were greeted by lovely reception staff who were so helpful. Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
