Hotel Indigo is conveniently located for the Tower of London. We had a king executive room, which was spacious, spotlessly clean and attractive, especially the modern and well appointed bathroom. Most importantly, we had a superb night of sleep because the bed was extremely comfortable, and the room (at the back of the hotel) was quiet. The staff were friendly... More

Have stayed in London numerous times but always stayed in a Hilton so decided to go for a bit different. At £180 a night, the price didn't bother us for such a lovely room and brilliant location. Location- just around the corner from 'Aldgate' and 'Tower Hill' tube stations, so brilliant to get on the tube quick. Obviously as the... More

The Indigo tower suite was very spacious and immaculate. The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived at 10 in the morning so we had to wait in the lobby until 1:30 to check into the room, but we were given a up grade to the biggest suite, which was lovely. The hotel is in the business district which is safe.... More

Since we had a very early flight out of the London Stansted Airport the next morning, we stayed here on our last night in London due to its proximity to the London Liverpool Street train station. We stayed here with points and with our Platinum Elite status we were upgraded to a large King room. The room was definitely large,... More

Our second time staying in the Indigo hotels. Tower Hill did not disappoint at all. Fantastic reception staff. Friendliest I have ever come across. Our room was on the 6 th floor with super views. The indigo hotels have thought of every single detail and made the rooms just fantastic to stay in. Mini bar, coffee machine, quirky decor. Loved the huge... More

This little gem did not disappoint. The location is pretty much perfect. Although not directly central, it is short walks from various tube stations that can take you all over the city. It is 5mins walk from Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. To be honest, we walked everywhere rather than got on the tubes. The staff are very... More

I recently stayed at the this hotel with my husband. It is in walking distance to Tower Bridge and Spitalfields (which is what we needed). When we first arrived, a little earlier than the 3pm check in, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly reception. Our room was also ready, which was a bonus. The room was on the first... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
