Loved this hotel. Perfect location, friendly staff, modern, comfortable, spotlessly clean & funky rooms, what's not to like? I contacted the hotel just after booking and requested a room on a high floor with a nice view of London. Both requests were met, our room was of an excellent size by London standards and we could see the Shard, Sky...

I stayed at this hotel for business and found the location to be perfect. 5 mins to the underground and a variety of cafes, fast food outlets and pubs all in the area. A genuinely warm welcome from the staff was my first nice surprise. The room was fantastic. Well proportioned for London with nice design touches and a comfortable...

Want a quaint hotel in the middle of London and don't want to pay an arm and a leg? Well look no further, very comfortable rooms and believe it or not they are not so cramped as some of the more expensive hotels. Plus walk out the front door and history awaits! Book this hotel you and your pocket book...

We have stayed here many times and love it. Staff are always ready to help, put things right if needed. Convenient location. Great little cafe around the corner as breakfast is pricey. Haven't eaten in the evening so can't comment on food. Walk down to the Tower. Buses across the road good for theatre and tube is close by.

We stayed for a weekend break and were happy with our experience. We were in room 305 which is an accessible room, this wasn't a requirement for us, but I noted the room was very spacious, had a very comfortable four poster bed, and a great walk in shower. Unfortunately the shower was slow to drain so it did flood,...

Whilst I chose this hotel because of its proximity to key city locations I needed to access, the luck was with me. Almost everything about this wonderful hotel is reason by itself for choosing it. The staff are just delightful. Their friendliness and continuous smiling is not trained into them by Indigo but probably by their parents. You get the...

This was our second stay at this property and we had a lovely time. The staff was extremely accommodating of our party off five (Split between the Tower Suite and 2 king rooms) and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. This hotel is in a great location in my opinion. It is located in the heart...

Just to say great hotel friendly staff great location 2 mins from Aldgate tube station. Well appointed rooms ideal for couples. Local to the Tower of London and the river. We will certainly use this hotel again.

I stayed here for work and was not overly impressed with it. Firstly, it's very in your face decor in the lobby, lots of bright reds etc, weird actually, the light is really weird... bight red with stainless steel everywhere. The decor continues like this, in an OTT fashion, bight, in your face colors, with lots of brick effect and...

Hi familyman402016, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at our hotel. While we appreciate your generous individual ratings toward our property's overall cleanliness and level of service rendered by our hotel staff members, I regret to learn about your dismay towards the noise levels including the malfunctioning air conditioning system. Nice hotel in good location. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Near Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Handy for Aldgate and Tower Hill underground stations. Nice touches included quality toiletries and free water, etc from mini bar. Only slight downsides were the noisy plumbing/heating system, the early morning hoovering and poor television reception on Sky channels. Also quite expensive. But...

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
