The area was lovely and the staff friendly..however.. It's 2021, we are all aware there is a pandemic right now and the rooms were not clean. Within moments of taking my shoes off my black socks turned white/grey on the bottom from dust. The remote for the tv had never been wiped as it was disgusting. One of the towels had a stain and the WORST part: From just after midnight, the air conditioning unit in room 12 where we were staying began to make a very loud noise every 10 minutes or so jumping us awake. Then by 2am as we tried to sleep through it, it was every couple minutes or so. The desk lady told us that she didnt know what we expected her to do about it other than move us to a new room. Which we accepted for now, as it was a double and we were in a twin. We packed up our stuff and moved to a new room at 2:20am. The new room blind wasnt working right and the windows had just been opened like it was just being aired out and could smell cigarette strongly setting my asthma off. The bathroom door was a struggle to shut due to the floor underneath it dipping and being loose. In the morning when we asked for the aircon to be fixed in our original room so we could go back to it. We learned they had no intentions to do this and that they'd known about it for a while because the cleaning staff had mentioned it yet it still wasn't fixed.. While yes, they were very polite and apologetic, they felt very dismissive and we were ultimately left in a double room (we'd gone here because there was a twin not a double) and it wasn't the best. Other than all that, the beds were reasonably comfortable, range of hot drinks provided, powerful shower in our second room but the sink was so stupid that you couldn't rinse anything down it 😅 Don't really recommend tbh unless you just want somewhere cheap to stay without care about cleanliness. Which is somewhat important during a pandemic We didnt think to take many pictures until wed already moved rooms but here is some of the broken blind, the stained bed and the glass cup in the bathroom.. yikes

Me: Hi, sorry to say but your cleaner has taken my dirty laundry bag by accident I think Reception: oh, that bag was yours?? I think the rubbish has been collected. let me ring her…. Me: ok…. Reception: talks to cleaner on phone in what sounds like Sanskrit Reception: No, she saw it but didn’t take it. You can ring the Police if you want….. me: why would I call the police? It’s not like it was my laptop or ipad, it’s just laundry and was an accident I’m sure, but we need to sort it out…. Reception: or there is an alternative version of events…. Me: whats that…..? Reception: that you’re lying!! Me: walks away and checks out, never to return.

It was a hot summer day and the Air-conditioning wasn’t cooling properly, we informed the manager that although the AC is on, it isn’t cooling the room enough and we are literally sweating in the room. He reassured us that we can control it from the room and it will work. We checked out after only an hour and half of checking in. Despite this problem I still would not have written this bad review it was after what the “manager” said in response to our complaint that we found absolutely disgusting. He said and I quote “well you got to spend time with your partner in the room, I know the background very well” I found his personal comment extremely inappropriate and it’s shocking that this came from the “Manager” of the hotel. He tried covering up and saying “the air con is off due to covid” and I said that is a complete lie because it’s on. He then admitted that only one room in the whole hotel has a functioning air con. All in all what an embarrassing and cheap service by someone who is meant to be hospitality professional.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights over new year and we were both shocked at how nice our room was with the price for London as we had shopped around a lot before booking! Staff were lovely, rooms were clean and cleaned every day! Our room was fairly small but having the kitchen facility’s and desk made up for that! Only problem for me was having the hard laminate flooring instead of carpet, personally I am very clumsy and every time i dropped something it was such a loud sound...i probably woke others up...but wouldn’t stop me staying again! Brilliant place!

Had a great stay. Perfectly situated for Olympia. Staff were all great. Would definitely return as the location was quiet and not far from all attractions. Check in was swift and easy. If it's only a room with facilities you are looking for then this is perfect. Thank you
