The location is great because it's a very short walk to Victoria Station for trains and Underground. The Victoria Underground Station is only few stops aways from most of the key tourist sites within London. I had previously stayed in the Paddington Station area and I found Victoria to be a better base. There are food places close by, including...

I visit London quite regularly. Sometimes I want a bit of a treat and then I stay at the Royal Society of Medicine (of which I am a member), but if I want something cheap and cheerful during the summer this is my first choice. I have stayed here twice and have absolutely no grumbles. Excellent location, clean, a comfy...

Good room. Fantastic security!! There is a wardrobe desk and ensuite in the room. The bathroom is tiny but it's cheap accommodation so it's not too bad! A minutes walk from the Victoria tube and sainbsury is accross the road (huge store). Would stay again

I've been staying in this location for almost two and a half weeks as part of my grad course. I would have said it was overall an okay experience, but I've confronted the manager about several items from my room that are missing. I used them on a Saturday, that same day my room was cleaned. On Sunday, I noticed...

This dorm is spacious (as far as dorms go!), modern and conveniently located (large Sainsbury supermarket, Victoria train / tub/ bus station are nearby). The room is spacious with a bed, dresser and desk. The bed was comfortable. The ensuite bathroom is very small - a self contained capsule. The shower is separate from the toilet and sink and using...

Very, very basic accommodation. Carpet was covered in stains, coffee or tea stain on shelf and all shelves very dusty. Bed linen was not the freshest. Faint smell of something too horrible to describe. One towel, one pillow, which I did not use as I slept in the chair. Apart from a bed, chair, desk, small wardrobe and a bedside...

This is very basic accommodation, but the location next to Victoria station is fantastic, the bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. The bathroom was small but functioned ok, but I would have preferred to have two towels. I would recommend bringing a small towel with you for your face and hands. Also a bedside lamp would be a nice...

The Goldsmid House is a great basic very reasonably priced place to stay in central London. It is a couple of blocks from Victoria Station. There are lots of restaurants in the neighborhood, and a Sainsbury market just down the street The rooms are ensuite, have free WiFi, good beds and are very clean. There is a lift. Each group...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
