The hotel was ok and good value for money. The room was nice, with a good shower and efficient air con. Robes and slippers were provided. The eco credentials are impressive. The staff were not very friendly. The reasons I’m giving the hotel a score of 4 are: We were not shown to our room or offered help with luggage The reception desk was unmanned at times The fridge in the room didn’t work The sauna and steam room were not working The resistance pool was not working and was being used as a cold plunge pool Breakfast was very basic - 3 star hotel at best. There was no natural yoghurt, no vegetarian options such vegetarian sausages, eggs Benedict or similar options were not offered - I only realised these may have been an option when I saw the room service menu. The restaurant service was not to 5 star hotel standard. I would have given a score of 3 but, due to value for money have given a very good. The decor is unusual. The fake Versace is very off-putting and cheapens the hotel.…
Absolutely what you want a hotel to be: smart, clean, stylish, comfortable room and communal areas. Staff were friendly without being overbearing or servile. They kept a distance but were quick to help if you wanted help. Fantastic stay. Recommended.
Very comftorable beds , Lovely view and people and jacuzzi’s so nice and warm. The room is elegant and comfy Everywhere smells nice nice decorations bar I love the vodka sign😂 I will definitely be making a comeback here as it’s a great place to go with a loved one
Very roomy bedroom and very clean and comfortable. Bar and restaurant across the way from the reception which can be a bit breezy. Good location Battersea or the South Bank as you can walk from the hotel. Good service.
This hotel is in amazing location and has gorgeous river views .. the staff are absolutely amazing and the bar and restaurant are top class The rooms are spotless and cozy and have everything you need would highly recommend
Enjoyed the food, nice service a great local spot. Nice view and lovely decorations. Lovely places to take pictures. The boss is lovely and the option of indoor and outdoor seating. Food tasted nice and drinks was nice too
I always book a room for my Mother to stay here. The rooms are large with great views of the Thames and the staff are absolutely lovely. But…it could be really amazing and a much more viable business - sadly it looks like the hotel is going out of business judging from the way the entrance has been barricaded now - if all the completely mad ‘decor’, from the worst lumps of ‘sculpture’ in reception to a gang of chrome dolphins, and the wrecked shed attached to the restaurant were banished and a decent designer brought in to sort it all out. Rooms too are dark with hideous fake Versace tatt everywhere. Such a shame. The location is fantastic and every time my Mother stays we’d love to sit by the river and have a drink or dinner but the broken shed lean-to thingy - on an award-winning modern budiling! Again why????, the cheap and ugly mismatched furniture, the acres of dog urine soaked astroturf - why????? - and the smokers encouraged by the Hubbah pipes put us completely off. This is a hotel ready to be one of the best in London but right now is a bit of a nightmare.…
This hotel rated itself a 5 star but I feel like this is too generous. The hotel is what i would describe as adequate accommodation for a business stay but for a couples trip, look elsewhere. I paid almost 200 pounds per night and the location is poor. It’s next to a castle furniture place and has people living in the same building.
Lovely place to stay, room was clean modern and spacious. I always say a hotel bathroom says a lot and I could stay in that steam shower all day! Spa was small but lovely as it wasn’t busy and my massage was great, very relaxing. The restaurant food was amazing and the staff were all fantastic
Baldy Caucasian European bar man DO NOT STAY HERE! RUN Refused to wash baby bottle. Partner asked for fairy liquid to wash. He said NO. Told partner to ask someone else with a shrug of his head. Partner left bottle with another guy waiter who said he would get porter to do. I then left my room and went to bar to ask for bottle and asked the bald Barman. He said he don’t know anything about it. Lied!! Then shrugged his head and told me to ask ‘wee boy’. He then shouted through Bar several times ‘wee boy’!! Rude and disrespectful to call your co worker like this. I asked ‘wee boy’ his name it was ‘Fasil’. I said to the bald bar man his name is Fasil it’s rude to shout ‘wee boy’ and your co worker. I was told to shut up and piss off. I said so your carrying on like you did to my partner a few minutes ago. I said to him quite angrily as you would- you are a disgrace and an embarrassment. Told him I am reporting to manager. As I walked away he shouted at me (baring in mind customers in the bar) ‘come back here you pussy’ I went back and he did damn all only shouting insults etc This guy is about 50 odd years old, married and front line staff for this hotel. This was 4:30pm on a Wednesday. This Barman should not have a job let alone be dealing with customers in a ‘5 star hotel’ Spoke to manager ‘kuman’ said she would do an ‘investigation’. Kuman I spoke to on the phone- said she sent report to owners (Kuman very good to deal with) and they are having a disciplinary meeting on the 2nd janurary with owners. I will leave Kumans conversation out of this but have recorded her call. Very polite! In mean time this bar man is still employed there! 100 percent nothing will happen. Absolute disgrace, embarrassing and downright awful customer service- this is the clientele Hotel Rafayel employ. Very interesting to see how the owners deal with this. Will keep you posted…
