The Building itself is worth a visit. The hotel is conveniently located only 3 minutes walk from Bethnal Green Tube Station for easy access into the city and there are a couple of restaurants close. The rooms are generous: we stayed in a junior suite that was excellently furnished. Full kitchens are provided and my partner mentioned, that it was most probably the best shower he ever took in a hotel. There is an indoor pool and a well equipt Gym as well as a Restaurant. We had breakfast (was decent) and dinner there, which was excellent. Last but not least we have to mention the staff: super friendly and very helpful.

This hotel is a Hidden Gem in East London. Only 5 minutes walk from Bethnal Green station and the building is amazing. Very spacious reception area and we were checked in swiftly. Our room was a one bedroom suite with a nice lounge area and a kitchen if needed. Great shower and great toiletries. Great swimming pool and gym,WOW! Had a drink in the hotel one evening and that was nice and relaxing also. Thank you Town Hall. If you want a hotel with great access to Central and East London,Town Hall is the place to stay.

Stayed here for 6 nights on my own in room 115. It was cosy and cleaned daily. Loved the tea, coffee, fresh milk (cow or oat), mini fridge with sparkling and still water. Staff super helpful, brought me a toothbrush when I called for it within about 3 mins! Arranged an early check in and offered to carry my bags. Very happy with my stay. The hotel feels safe and the rooms are set back from the main road so it’s fairly peaceful.

I had heard about this cool little bar that’s often overshadowed by the 2 star Michelin restaurant that is also located in the hotel, from a friend. Definitely we’ll recommend, great service, friendly and knowledgeable, but most importantly drinks were world class. Definitely highly recommend.

This hotel should be great - a beautiful building, and well located for some of the seedier (ie more interesting) part of London. We spent two nights there recently and were underwhelmed. We had asked for an "accessible" room, for my husband, who has Parkinson's. They gave us a room with a shower over the bath. Really???????? Great for someone who has problems with stability and balance. We had two interleading rooms, but the interleading door was locked. I must have called the reception desk about 15 times about this and other issues, including the fact that these rooms were in the basement (G7 and G5 - don't book them under any circumstances.) The rooms were unbearably noisy - they are directly next to a car park, and there were groups of men standing around and shouting all night. I asked one of the front desk staff about it, and he assured me that the noise would disperse when the "Boxing" was finished. I couldn't get any more clarity on this as he barely spoke English. I then asked a young woman with better English to investigate and she said she would get back to me. She didn't, obviously. I called her again and was told she had been to the car park and it was quiet. I told her she must have gone to the wrong car park and again she promised to get back to me and didn't. (Reception staff veered between indifferent to actively hostile, depending on who was at the desk.) I had a sleepless night in the stuffy, noisy room - it was very warm and the A/C was broken. At 6am workers appeared in the car park and started putting up or dismantling something that looked like scaffolding. At this point I asked to change rooms, and after further delays, excuses and countless more calls we were given rooms upstairs, in a quieter part of the building. But the wedding was ruined for me, as I was dazed with sleeplessness and angry about the shoddy runaround we'd been given by the staff. I would have given this hotel one star - actually, that's all it deserves, certainly not the 5-star rating it gets - except that we had an exceptionally good meal at the Ellis restaurant, and that the chambermaids, although possessed of very little English, worked hard to supply us with what we needed and were obliging. My advice: don't go there. There are many better places to waste your money.

Horrible experience, the most uneducated and rude staff who greeted us. This deserves to be only left as a 3 star hotel judging by staff! Shocking experience certainly making a point of this to others

Excellent service in the bar, a great conversation. With high quality produce, excellent knowledge of the wider industry, in a relaxed environment within the beautiful setting of the town hall hotel.

I very rarely write bad reviews but my experience in The Town Hall Hotel is to say the least, poor . This is not a 5 star Hotel for service and the general fabric of the building needs attention but if you have an interest in architecture it’s worth a walk around not a stay . I would not recommend and will not be returning there is a lot I could say but sometimes less is more .

This place is so unsuspecting and absolutely stunning when you walk in. Although the reception area is a little small, if you’re lucky enough to be greeted by Natalie, she will make you feel like you’re the only person in the world that matters, so thoughtful and attentive. She could tell I was slightly flustered and immediately offered me a seat and something to drink whilst she checked me in very quickly and made me feel like I was at home and ready to relax for the evening. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked into the room as I had booked it last minute but it’s basically like your own studio with a small kitchen, sofa and a gorgeous inviting bed that hugged every part of my being. There is a pool but I haven’t been able to use that due to time constraints and also I checked in super late so wasn’t able to take advantage of the room service or bar facility. Bathroom is spacious and clean, very good sized bath with Percy and reed products. Sort of reminds me of the Ned without the huge price. It’s a little outside of the city but you’re close to bus stop and Bethnal Green so you’re not miles away. Lots of pubs and restaurants near by. 100% recommend this place. As a solo female, I’m here, feel super safe and know that if I need anything, the staff are on hand to assist

What a shame to say this beautiful hotel has about the worst staff I have ever met. Check in staff very blunt and rude and the breakfast staff were slow and seemed Haarlem by taking a simple order. The food was very tasty but the management of our food and drinks was so poor. From a business perspective a beautiful setting to have large meetings but from a customer service I would never book here. Won’t be back. What a shame.
