We stayed here as it was close to the Barbican, the staff were very welcoming and always helpful. The room was very comfortable and quiet (very important!) My wife is disabled and the staff in the restaurant were very observant and responded to her needs

I've had many company meals and drinks at this place and enjoyed it. Nice decor, professional staff, good food but drinks can be double the price that any bar in the city. I guess at the end it is a hotel so this should be expected. Overall positive

My husband booked this hotel for a weekend get away. On arrival we were met and offered complimentary glasses of Prosecco. As we weren't intending to spend a lot of time in the room, we opted for the standard, double, room only basis. Could not fault the room! Complimentary crisps, sweets, biscuits and ELEMIS toiletries (as well as the renowned... More

I reviewed this hotel about four years ago, and stay here quite often. The hotel hasn't lost it's touch at all: The staff (Lukacz especially, and the rest of the front desk) is top notch - they mix a warmth, friendliness and professionalism perfectly well. I feel like family when I visit here, and other guests that I speak to... More

Smallish size business hotel. Rooms are typical European size. One thing I noticed is that because there are only a few rooms on each floor it's very quiet. You don't hear the slamming doors or talking in the hall that you hear in large hotels. The rooms are clean well designed. Shower is a good size and good water pressure.... More

Our daughter and her fiance treated my husband and I to a combined birthday celebratory weekend at this beautiful hotel. Our stay was made so special by the manager Christopher and all his staff. From the warm greeting when we arrived to the magical suite, sparkling clean, everything we needed. Never experienced anything like the comfort of the beds, the... More

Stayed at the Apex London Wall Hotel due to favourable reviews and it's location as we were visiting friends in the City/East London. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped (everything you could ask for really). Being a weekend, the City can sometimes be eerily quiet so this made for a very good nights sleep as we experienced... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
