I stayed here over Christmas for 2 nights with my brother. It is very basic but clean beds are comfortable and very good full English breakfast. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Idea place for us visiting family and a good price. It has very good links to cental London bus or tube

I stayed here on Boxing Day 2016 to go and watch Arsenal play as there were no trains running that day. It's a mile away from the ground and I knew paying such a small amount meant I was not going to be staying at the Ritz, so why expect too much! Contrary to other posts I thought the staff...

Spent one night at Charlies following a concert at the O2 Forum, Kentish Town and was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the previous reviews. The room itself was clean as were the carpet and bed linen and it was warm. The shower was hot and was perfectly adequate. No mirror in the room or coat hangers in the wardrobe. Breakfast was...

Stayed at Charlie's 4 nights, spent all days out in London so we just needed a place to sleep and shower. The hotel could definitely use some redecoration, if the place was fixed up it could be really picturesque and charming. It has potential. The area is calm with restaurants and shops around the corners. It took us about 45...

I reserved a two twin bed room, for two nights. We arrive and first impression the lady seemed unhappy or too busy. However, Check in was smooth and easy. Free parking is off street in the back behind a fence safe and sound ! Beds have one blanket and a flat sheet, one bed squeezed terribly and one of the...

I do hope I had the worse room ! (Room 2) - it seems to have been added outside as an afterthought (picture provided) The one positive point is the possibility to park your car off the road, but you need to be lucky ( about 10 spaces for 27 rooms) the bedroom was tiny but clean - they do...

Booked a double room for Sept.10th in May. No room available when we arrived as the person we spoke to on the phone did not put it in the book. The person we saw was very apologetic and tried her best to accommodate us but they were full and we were not booked in, We were assured they would be...

So here is the thing........ Charlie's hotel is not luxury. If you go expecting the Dorchester, you will be disappointed. However, it is spotlessly clean, has comfy beds with clean crisp sheets, spotless but tiny bathroom, hot strong shower, is in a quiet, safe feeling residential street, provides a good breaky and is very affordable for London. If you can...

The hospitality wasn't good, the washrooms are small and not neat enough. For vegetarians it is hard to survive here. They won't even wait till we complete our breakfast they'll start picking up our plates without asking us.
