Went to London for a friends birthday and we stayed here. Lovely hotel, nice and quiet area, about 15 minute walk from London Bridge tube. Room was great, nice and comfy big bed, tea, coffee, etc plus the bonus of a fridge in your room with complimentary water. The hotel does not sell alcohol but you are welcome to buy...

Stayed at this place with a red letter package. Full English breakfast included. Room was clean. Customer service as good as I've encountered. Breakfast was a huge spread and you could order off the menu. Very impressed with my experience. Would definitely stay again.

This is a really pleasant and informal hotel situated about a ten minute walk from London Bridge and amidst the galleries and cafes etc of Bermondsey. The top floor suite of the hotel has a rooftop hot tub which afford views over towards the London Eye (tip - if using the hottub remove the cover well in advance so can...

I wanted to like this hotel as it looks attractive, has a great location and is really good value for money. Unfortunately lots was wrong: My TV didn't work. The manager tried to fix it then just gave up and went away without offering a solution. The next day I mentioned it again and another guy came, fiddled about with...

My extended family and I stayed at this hotel Sunday night past. The rooms are lovely with great bathrooms. It was exceptionally quiet so sleep was not disturbed which is always a plus. The rooms were very clean, warm and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was very good and the staff, especially those on reception, were very...

Lovely quirky hotel. The breakfast was included and was superb and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was modern and comfortable and the bathroom lovely. It is a dry hotel but there are plenty of nice bars and restaurants near. Only short walk to Borough market and all the sites by the river. A great small hotel and a...

Dear Suzie G Delighted that you got to enjoy a few of the bars and restaurants close by. Bermondsey Street has become a mecca for foodies and has some great places to visit including Pizarro & Casse Croute among others.

Our room had wonderful views to the shard! It was beautiful in the night with the lights. Bed was the most comfortable one that I have tried in my life! The decoration in general is very homely and breakfast was delicious! The location is perfect because you can walk to some of the main attractions in London. Staff was very...

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
