If you like polished, bright, generic chain hotel brands, don't stay here. It's not for you. If however, you like dark, gothic, skulls, icons of rock stars, and something less ordinary, then this place is great. Oversize photos of Lemmy flicking you the bird hang in the bar, bathrooms with jet black suites with chrome taps that look like they... More

We stayed in a room called a crash pad. Was a great room, lovely decor, small but very comfortable rooms. Right in the heart of London. Very trendy hotel. Staff very friendly and the room was a good price. Would definately stay here again

This hotel is music-themed and for anyone who appreciates good music, style and being able to skip out for smoothies in Carnaby St. each morning then this is the place to stay. With a wonderfully stocked dark, cosy yet fabulously glamorous bar, delicious menu, and sumptuous rooms and excellent staff this was a great place for us to stay and... More

The worst thing about this place is the noise! Constant, all day and night. Starting before 5am with workers on street and traffic. Houskeeping noisy opening and closing doors. Noise from music until the very early hours. Most of the noise isnt the fault of the hotel but if you want to sleep then this hotel is not for you.... More

We stayed for one night to celebrate a birthday in london, our room was beautiful and the location of the hotel was excellent, right in the middle of soho surrounded by bars and restaurants, just walking distance to oxford circus, piccadilly and covent garden nearby as well. The 24hr rooftop bar is also good along with the jacuzzi!

We booked this as we love Soho / west end area and wanted to be able to walk to everywhere we wanted to see. the location was possibly the only good thing about this hotel. On arrival the staff were fairly friendly. I could see on my reservation that I was supposed to have room 307 but she changed it... More

Wife booked a night to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. Weeknight in Soho. The room was lovely; a romantic setting with a 4 post bed, hi-fi with ipod dock etc. What you'd expect from a luxury hotel. Negative points were on the roof-top bar. We really wanted to go and enjoy a drink and a dip in the hot... More

Myself and then girlfriend stayed here in May 2016, a surprise for her and also the location of my proposal. A few days before we were due to stay I rang up and upgraded to the higher quality /value suite (possibly the junior executive or something of the equivalent name, in the region of an additional £150 on top of... Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Today’s rock’n’roll hotel is less about threats of incidental bodily harm and more about a glamorously decadent atmosphere, and the new model is a place like the Sanctum Soho. Here it means a dash of modern minimalism, a sprinkling of baroque opulence, and an emphasis on the darker end of the color palette. The in-room electronics are totally up to date, while some throwback touches are retained for atmosphere’s sake. It’s a twenty-four-hour hotel with a liberal, tolerant service concept; what you want, you’ll get, without so much as a raised eyebrow. In that, it’s not so fundamentally different from some of London’s more conservative luxury hotels — it just feels naughtier. ... more   less
