The location was brilliant, right in the centre of London, and the staff were wonderful. They were happy to accommodate everything we wanted, and the room itself was lovely - very different style to the kind of hotels I've previously stayed in, but it was gorgeous! The bed was incredible, I didn't want to get up. Would love to go... More

Great location within walkable distance of many good restaurants, shops and sights. We were fortunate enough to have an upgrade to our room, which was available to us earlier than formal check in time. The room was very stylish and bathrooms spotless and swish. They willingly kept our luggage and jackets safe on our last day for us to make... More

I had my retirement party here and several of us stayed the night. Staff could not have been more helpful and coped brilliantly with a sea of difficult dietary requests. Everything combined to make us feel very special. And they have the best sheets ever!

My boyfriend and I booked a stay for a weekend at Sanctum Soho to celebrate my birthday – and needless to stay it was one of the most luxurious hotel experiences I've ever had for a pretty good price. We had a 'Crash Pad', but unlike the name it was a beautiful room with a relaxing Japanese spa vibe. I... More

My wife booked us afternoon tea for a birthday treat, have to say I think doing two styles (one for ladies and one for gents) is a fantastic idea. The food was amazing and staff very friendly and provide great service. For the gents a complimentary cigar is included which you can smoke on the terrace. However when we visited... More

This hotel is so close to so many things. Conveniently located to tube station, Carnaby, and tons of restaurants. We had a crash pad room, the bed was very comfy. We were right next to the elevator but our room was very quiet. The bathroom was quite small but we expected that and it was fine. We had drinks on... More

Myself and my mum stayed here on a bank holiday weekend after seeing a concert, we needed somewhere central to stay afterwards & this hotel was just that. After reading poor reviews on the crash pads we were a little reluctant to book but did so anyway and we were pleasantly surprised! Hotel was very clean, staff were welcoming and... More

So there was much to like at this hotel - great location, staff was friendly and attentive. But my room itself left much to be desired. It was very small (even by London standards). Furthermore, my room had no tub and a "walk-in" shower. In other words, the rain shower head simply flowed onto the bathroom floor with no curtain.

I liked it. There is no better location again, just behind Regent street. I did not use their restaurant but I liked everything in my room – bed and pillow were comfy, toiletry was good (which is important for me, I never book a place with cheap toiletries or small rooms). The concierge was Lithuanian, if I’m not mistaken, very... More

The staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, half a block from Regent Street, 5 minutes from Piccadilly Circus. We walked everywhere easily. The room was fine. A good size but a bit too dark and we looked out over a roof with mechanical equipment and an office building, so not the most pleasant.... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Today’s rock’n’roll hotel is less about threats of incidental bodily harm and more about a glamorously decadent atmosphere, and the new model is a place like the Sanctum Soho. Here it means a dash of modern minimalism, a sprinkling of baroque opulence, and an emphasis on the darker end of the color palette. The in-room electronics are totally up to date, while some throwback touches are retained for atmosphere’s sake. It’s a twenty-four-hour hotel with a liberal, tolerant service concept; what you want, you’ll get, without so much as a raised eyebrow. In that, it’s not so fundamentally different from some of London’s more conservative luxury hotels — it just feels naughtier. ... more   less
