We stayed in a crash pad which although could do with a bit of TLC was ok. Bed was comfy enough and the wet room was huge. When we checked in we were told that there was a tattoo convention that evening which we were fine with. What we were not told was how noisy it was going to be....

This hotel is a hidden gem in a perfect location. The receptionist i dealt with was incredibly helpful. My room was super fancy with a bath in the lounge along with a crystal pillar. The Room service dinner I ordered was delicious. The menu is varied and interesting unlike a lot of hotels in london, it was modern British but...

I was impressed by the location and they type of hotel. Receptionist upon arrival was polite and very quick. To look at the room (306) it was great! Only when you started to use the room did you notice that improvements are needed. The shower is hot and strong but is broken so water comes out from the sides, the...

From the moment we were greeted at the front desk we knew this was going to be a lovely stay. Such friendly front of house makes a difference in our opinion. They allowed us to check in early and had also upgraded our room to the suite! Gorgeous room decor and huge considering it's London. There may be a few...

My sister booked the hotel for 4 of us for NYE. The manager greeted us at reception, he was very polite and charming. He told us their were 3 parties there that night, and to expect quite a bit of noise. Which was fine, it was NYE in London, so we didn't have a problem with that. The hotel isn't...

A very disappointing stay here. Stayed in a suite that could really do with an upgrade. Scuffed paintwork, broken mirror tiles and a broken seal between the shower room and main area resulting in a wet bedroom floor. The main door was padded which may have looked good when first fitted but the cloth is now torn by the door...

Such an excellent place, beautiful boutique hotel with quirky little things going on. Our room was the Crash Pad as we were only intending to crash after a Christmas Party put on by Fierce Angel to raise money for childrens charities the main one being Nordorff Robbins which is music therapy for children. We got to watch Elf in the...

Hotel position great for access to any attraction in London, staff were welcoming and friendly. The disadvantage for us that the night we stayed there was something going on in the restaurant/bar and our return to the hotel at 11.30 expecting to go to bed was thwarted by boom, boom music which actually made the walls in our room seemingly...

Stayed at the Sanctum Soho hotel just before Christmas as I was staying in Town for our work Christmas party. The hotel is ideally located in Soho and not far from Regent Street. I have stayed here before and the rooms and service are mainly excellent, it was the ideal place to crash after a party, however the rooftop bar...

Our 2-day stay in London was cut short by the noise from Sanctum`s 24-hour roof-top bar, (supposedly for residents but had been hired out for a private party), and then the nightclub 100 yards up the road!! We asked to move rooms, only to find the noise worse in a room overlooking the road. The music was ridiculously loud till...

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Today’s rock’n’roll hotel is less about threats of incidental bodily harm and more about a glamorously decadent atmosphere, and the new model is a place like the Sanctum Soho. Here it means a dash of modern minimalism, a sprinkling of baroque opulence, and an emphasis on the darker end of the color palette. The in-room electronics are totally up to date, while some throwback touches are retained for atmosphere’s sake. It’s a twenty-four-hour hotel with a liberal, tolerant service concept; what you want, you’ll get, without so much as a raised eyebrow. In that, it’s not so fundamentally different from some of London’s more conservative luxury hotels — it just feels naughtier. ... more   less
