An amazing night spent here. Unfurtunately I was in The Kensington just for one night. However, everything was great. Special thanks to the staff and Veruska for the great welcome and assistance. You must try the breakfast!!!
A superb hotel full of charm and character. It's so refreshing to stay somewhere with personality and a touch of individual luxury. The staff are so friendly, attentive and professional. One of my favourite places to stay.More

Great little hotel in a perfect Kensington location. We especially enjoyed the elegant bar and delicious breakfasts. The staff were brilliant, they really added to the experience. We will definitely return.

The Kensington staff was friendly, attentive & amazing. The public rooms were beautiful and inviting as was the restaurant and bar service. Our room was small and had little place to store clothing, however, the bed was plush and extremely comfortable, the room was clean...More
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.

Ok pricing does seem a little wonky by your observation but the early booker will probably be the better deal for you as the variation in breakfast can be considerable. I’m not sure about the a la cartel estimate, I did a la crate my first day and once I added tea and toast it was as much as if I’d opted for their full breakfast service which I ended up doing for the remainder of my stay. They have a pretty good breakfast buffet with eggs cooked to order, and so on. Though the Kensington is in the heart of a historic neighbourhood breakfast options there really don’t exist. Do ask the hotel about the pricing to help make your decision ... safe travels and I hope you enjoy London.
