I regularly go to London 2-3 times a year (for more than 25 years) and often stay in a different hotel within a few blocks of the Henrietta. But with prices this summer sky high I decided I needed to be a little more careful with my "pounds," The Henrietta, although not inexpensive by any means, had a more favorable rate. I've walked by the hotel many times since they've opened and thought it looked nice. And it is very nice! As others have said, the rooms are small, but as a solo traveler this time, that suited me just fine. They are nicely decorated, very clean, and comfortable. As mentioned, the location is fantastic -- you are right at Covent Garden. Despite being in the thick of things, the hotel is surprisingly sound proof -- my room faced the street and I was never bothered by noise. In fact, things close down early in London (compared to where I am in NYC) and the streets are often totally empty by 11pm or so. Another plus -- the staff at the Henrietta are also extremely nice and helpful. The hotel doesn't really have any common spaces per se, but they do have a nice restaurant. .Also the newer location across the street from the original location (I stayed there) does have a cozy sitting area near check in. All and all a lovely stay. I am already booked in again for my trip back to London in November of this year. ** Please excuse typos!…
Very cute boutique hotel in the great neighborhood of Covenant Garden. Situated on a walking only street this hotel puts you in the middle of it all and provides great rooms and service. We had a lovely stay and would Most certainly fancy this Place For another visit
Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in the main building (I believe there are 2). It is a very small boutique hotel with limited rooms, but my requests were accommodated - requested shower (not bath) rooms. I stayed here with my parents and requested a room for them on the backside of the building so that it was quiet (which was accommodated as well), as the hotel is on a very lively street. I stayed on the front side of the building and was not bothered by noise below. Every detail in the room was better than the next - large bathroom, double sinks, windows that open for breeze, comfortable bed, complimentary tea / coffee / water. Located in the heart of Covent Garden steps from pubs, restaurants, shopping, tube stops, Trafalger Square, etc. At the end of our stay the staff informed us there was a scheduled railway strike the day of our trip we’d be travelling to airport (me) and train station (my parents). They arranged a transfer to the airport for me and assisted my parents in alternate transportation to their next stop in England. If it weren’t for the staff, we easily could have been stuck in the city due to heavy traffic and no tube / trains operating. Would stay here again and highly recommend!…
We stayed in room 17 at this hotel this June. We have many friends in London and have visited many times before. This was our first time staying here. While the stay was pleasant, we will not be staying here again. For the type of boutique hotel it is, it's a bit overpriced and over rated . Unfortunately I left a blouse in the very small closet. We phoned from the airport. We spoke to someone who seemed helpful on the phone and promised they would look into it and call us back...They didn't. We phoned again every day that week. Same conversation No one ever phoned us back. I phoned this week. The woman remembered us and said perhaps we didn't leave the blouse there and lost it somewhere else???? Really? Where??? In a pub?? So I hope whoever cleaned our room that day is enjoying the blouse. I am not a happy guest. And their customer service in this matter was very very poor.…
Highlight of my trip, this charming, sophisticated, nicely appointed hidden gem felt like home for the 8 days I was in London. Splurge for the terrace view if you can — spectacular. The team warmly welcomed me and went the extra mile (including a gin tasting and leaving hand-written notes in my room). Angele is impressively knowledgeable about spirits (the bar houses the largest selection of cognac in London, among other spirits). Unpretentious, authentic and welcoming (with neighborhood locals who know best), this is a great place to hang out above and beyond your stay. But if you prefer privacy, you will have it. No big hotel/tourist vibe here. I can’t wait to return and already miss my daily comings and goings!!!
Wonderful little boutique hotel. Very small room but then again, we are in London. It was very tastefully decorated In an Art Deco inspired style. Great bed although a bit short, and the room was nice and clean. The hotel is situated at Covent Garden but the sound proof windows provided a quiet and wonderful stay. Will definitely stay here again.
Me and my husband have just spent the most amazing 3 days at this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was lovely and we both agreed it was the comfiest bed we have ever slept in. Would definitely book again.
My stay at The Henrietta Hotel in London was fantastic! The team at the reception (in the new building) was super friendly. In the room you do not miss anything, and its size is really impressive. I loved the deccor and design. The breakfast serviced was fantastic!, the waiters and the breafkast chef (François - please try the Eggs Royale - DELICIOUS!) were also super friendly, accommodating all the clients' needs very quicly and with professional manner. I stayed in London for a business trip, and I will come back again to The Henrietta Hotel, also with my family!
What a wonderful find! Fabulous boutique hotel in a pretty, pedestrianised street right next to Covent Garden. It was my birthday so the hotel upgraded us to a top floor suite in the annex which was a lovely, much-appreciated gesture - the extra little room for our daughter was fantastic. Beautiful decor, very clean, super comfy beds, gorgeous bathroom with sumptuous robes and slippers. Staff were friendly and professional. A 2 min walk from the Opera House, which after seeing La Traviata, was perfect. Many thanks to all the team for making our stay so special!
Very nice hotel run by a very frienly team, right in the heart of Covent Garden - location, location, location! We had an attractive executive room on the 3rd floor with an off-street orientation, which made it very quiet. Large bathroom, well equipped with a seating area. Only the food in the restaurant is nothing to write home about, but the cocktails at the bar are good. Will be back when coming to Covent Garden next time.
