I have never stayed in a hostel before so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I decided for safety reasons that a women only place would be my best option. I arrived Friday morning, the lady on reception was very friendly & she showed me around & to my room. My room (115) was lovely! Very spacious for a... More

Did not enjoy my stay at this place at all - the only things that saved it was the area and the garden. Stayed there for a few months at the end of my first year at university. It would have been okay if I could even do my assignments effectively but the wifi hardly worked (and you have to... More

For any prospective travelers - here is my sum-up: Tiny rooms, no heating, lots of noise from street as well in building works and staffs, strict rules, electric currents running through shower taps, no cleaners on weekends, filthy kitchens, next to big railway lines, not much room for food, food going missing, cleaners filing nails and dying hair in the... This has got to be maybe the most useless accommodation ever. It looks super nice in some ways - the garden is pretty with a picture perfect tree and squirrels hopping around it. The hostel facilities are either not available, not working or downright dangerous. Firstly the heating is turned off. The staff let me know that it would be... More

Goldsmiths House is undergoing refurbishment works. The construction work occurs SEVEN DAYS A WEEK - incredibly the contractors drill, break tiles and jack-hammer during the week and on the weekends as well! There are only five showers available for eighty rooms. There is just a small trickle of water from these. If you want a good nights sleep and a... More

I stayed here for 3 nights in May 2014. Good price but you get what you pay for! A convent-like atmosphere, with dirty, badly maintained bathrooms. The room itself was small but clean. It looked out onto a pleasant garden. No WIFI available for short stays, and an "Internet Room" from the 80's. I didn't use any of the common... More

This is a functional ladies hostel if you need a quick and cheap place to stay in London. The staff was helpful and responsive most of the time. The room was small, neat and tidy with a twin bed, a wardrobe, a small shelf and a sink. The kitchen was large and uncluttered. I was given my own set of... More

I stayed here for 3 nights last week. I will never go here again. A week before my visit I sent an e-mail asking for room that didn't face the street. I got no response and when I asked again at the reception I got a room facing the street side. I arrived at 11 am. My room wasn't ready.... More

What a great place to stay. I am a 22 year old female, single guest. I had a single bedroom and paid about £30 My single bedroom was clean, petite, had a single bed, wardrobe, sink and desk with chair. I had a garden facing room which was very quiet.
