Stayed for a pint and a small meal. Great décor, space, balcony area and outside eating area. Pints were about £4.80 draught up to about £5.80 bottled. Grub was about £5-9 starters, £11-16 mains and I don't have a sweet tooth. 'Tis a Fullers pub - but the best I've been in. Excellent food, staff etc. I was there Tuesday... More

Beautiful sunny weekend so booked online for lunch and outdoor seating. On arrival were told we couldnt sit outside as no seats for a party of 4. Felt this greeting was quite abrupt. The terrace is only for drinking...not food. Food was definately average and expensive for what it was. The 2 young bartenders were helpful and friendly. Got talking to... More

All I can say about this place is that it had loads of potential, it just failed in silly areas. The room was very nice, but light fitting hanging off the wall, the shower was faulty, the room was so hot we had to leave for an hour for it to cool down (which it barely did). The food was... More

Very good pub and hotel - for food, service and quality of room. The only issue we had was that the room was very warm. Very handy location for the O2, but not right next to it, or a short bus trip into town (Observatory etc).

Overall stay was good, but as expected it was very noisy due to the Bar being open until 11:00pm. Although location makes up for a noise. It is situated in a short walking distance from O2 Arena so it was very convenient.

Other than bedrooms being very hot, with no air conditioning and only a fan for asssistance, The Pliot was very good with friendly staff and clean rooms. The location is very good for the O2 Arena, being a very easy level walk. Breakfast and food were fine.

This pub is nice and unique. It benefits from a great setting being on the redeveloped Greenwich peninsula. My girlfriend and I ordered two roasts and I have to say was very disappointed. The vegetables and potatoes were clearly out of a frozen pack, the beef had a floury texture to it though was ultimately flavourless. This pub also has... More

We stayed at the Pilot , mid week on the hottest day of the year. The pub is lovely , the food is fantastic and the service even better, Darren the manager was really efficient and ensured we are comfortable during the very warm weather by adding fans to our room without prompting. The dining area is great and the... More

Staying in Greenwich

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
