Run away from this place! Some of the staff are extremely rude, the rooms are dirty and dusty, the elevator is so small it fits one person and if your overweight youl need touse the stairs. The price is alot for what you get, as there are alot better with lower prices. The only upside is the location.

We stayed for five nights and found the apartment well appointed and very conveniently located. Just a short walk from the Gloucester Road tube station. Staff were friendly and we would definitely return when in London.

Great location, friendly staff. With a family of five, it's very hard to find hotel accommodations; the two-bedroom apartment (with the rollaway in the living area) was perfect for our family. The neighborhood has everything you could want -- pubs (try the Hereford Arms), coffee (Cafe Forum), pharmacy, and the tube is right there. It's a fantastic location to explore...

We stayed here for only one night when we arrived in London, but I wish we could have stayed longer. It is so conveniently located to all the things we wanted to do. We found it clean and the staff was most helpful. You could get off the tube and walk to it from the Gloucester Road station. Then -...

We stayed in a two bedroom suite with a living room and kitchen and two bathrooms (room 105).... the room was large, the service and hospitality people were good, but they need a MAJOR face lift..... while the linens and bedding were clean, it looked like all the furniture in the rooms had come from a fraternity house.... stains, dirt,...

I spent 2 nights at the Harrington in a deluxe studio on the 5th floor and I was really pleased. Everything was exceptionally clean (a couple of items of furniture and the floor do seem like they're a bit worn but there are so many good things about this place that it really didn't matter) and there are all the...

This is a wonderful alternative to a hotel stay. Located very close to the Gloucester Road station and many wonderful restaurants. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. This feels more like owning a flat in London than a vacation.

Our 2 bedroom apartment was on the 5th floor. We stayed 6 nights in early June. It was very cold in the apartment and it took 2 days until it was comfortable to stay there (please note that we are used to 22 Celsius degrees...). Kitchen was well equipped. The apartment was clean and everything worked. The staff was very...

The hotel is well located and close to the Gloucester Road tube station. The staff were friendly and helpful and the suite was large and well appointed. The street was a bit noisy at times with pickups and deliveries in the early hours. The beds were comfortable. The only negative aspect was that the unit was very tired. It urgently...

Hello LarsNorth, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a TripAdvisor review. Our staff will be extremely pleased to hear you found them so helpful and friendly. We’re extremely lucky to be so well located in South Kensington. Unfortunately though that does mean, on occasion, the area around The Harrington can be a little noisy as our neighbours...

I spend time in both hotel rooms and serviced apartments. London provides a bigger challenge than most cities. Hotels are expensive and apartments are variable in quality meeting the blurb on the booking site. The Harrington was (and is) a pleasant surprise. It delivers what it says on the can for a reasonable price. Clean but make sure you chose...

Hello Stephen, The entire Harrington team would thank you for your very kind comments. We strongly believe we are a fantastic alternative to hotels, offering great value for money too. Not only that but our serviced apartments provide so much more than a hotel (e.g. a fully-fitted kitchen per apartment and regularly laundered sheets and towels). If you are a...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
