No towels ( the only one I got had a big hole in it. When asked for a new one said you should stay in 5 star hotel where they give 6 sets of towels. The front manager is very blunt no smile or eye contact. Constant banging of wall during the day. Night was peaceful. No shower gel or... More

Viking Hotel - Allowed me to leave luggage before check in time, Reception staff were polite and friendly, The room was clean and tidy but the carpet was badly marked / stained,The only bad point was doors banging and people shouting in the corridor late at night, enjoyed my stay there otherwise

The room was nice, clean and spacious. No extra towels nor pillows. No shower gel. Lack of shelves in the bathroom. Breakfast from 7 to 9 am ( self service) but at 8h40 no more coffee , and the staff is very rude. You'll be asked to take your empty dishes and cups back to the counter yourself. The positive... Booked a family room. Lovely and spacious, warm, good tv and kettle in the room. Bathroom was clean. All in all a lovely stay. Only bad point would have to be the staff at breakfast. They were serving cooked breakfast (sausage, bacon, egg and beans), and my Mum and sister are vegetarians so they asked for just egg and beans.... More

Hotel was ok, fairly clean and tidy but not as welcoming as other budget hotels. Staff need to be trained in customer service, the front desk staff were somewhat rude as were the kitchen/breakfast staff. The free 'continental' breakfast was toast, cereal, poor quality ham and turkey and a small disguisting English breakfast with eggs that were so greasy and... More

We've paid for hotel rooms and received "lodge rooms" (with access directly from the yard) Very basic and poor breakfast - you feel like you eat the cheapest food in town. Dirty everywhere, bad smell in the rooms, dirty carpet, dirty bed cover, dirty walls, dirty toilet. Felt very unsecure as these "lodge rooms" have access directly from the yard... More

Location was perfect for me as I was competing in the Olympic Park. The room was fine. Nothing spectacular. You get what you pay for. We paid for breakfast thinking we would get a proper feed for the day. The dining room is more like a hospital canteen. None of the staff spoke English at breakfast. Very poor selection of... More

I am visiting London due to an appointment at the Dutch embassy to have my newborn Son's new passport issued. Suffice to say that anything official as an EEA national takes time with the UK foreign office legalising documents etc, I will not bore you with the details spare that it's been the most stressful day of my life. (Bearing... More

Due to needing a cheap hotel for 2 nights near the 02 arena I stumbled on the Viking hotel in Stratford on hotels.com. A 15 min drive away or 3 tube stops to the 02 & a bargain price of £55 per night (especially for a Friday & Saturday night) for a triple room for 2 adults & 1 teenager..to... More
