OK, here come the superlatives: this is the best B&B I have stayed in, ever. Julia, is the best host I have met. It is in a terrific location; is very well appointed; has a lovely garden, personalized service (our transportation to and from was arranged and supervised by Julia); wonderful breakfasts...and, did I mention Julia, she made our stay... Number 37 is a lovely house in the centre of Greenwich in a fantastic location for the park, museums, shops, DLR and pubs and restaurants. Our room was comfortable with views over the garden. Julia, our hostess, was very welcoming and treated us to a delicious Full English breakfast. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit London.

For anyone who stays in Grennwich, go to London is already a trip itself. By boat or DLR (Docklands Light Railway), the path is very interesting, and and it takes 40 minutes at most. For those in a hurry, the combination train / metro works well. And stay at Number 37 is cool, quiet, well located, good café in the... More

Lovely, delightful host and house! Highly recommended. Julia cooked a delicious breakfast accommodating my weird dietary preferences and was both fascinating and friendly. I'll certainly be back the next time I am in Greenwich.

We have made several visits to London over the last few years and stayed at various hotels but that is no longer the case. Julia and Steve, the perfect hosts at 37 Burney Street have set the bar. Warm home made cake on arrival with tea & coffee from Julia. A lovely comfortable and charming room leading onto the garden... More

I concur with the other reviewers who have praised Number 37. Julia is a wonderful host; the location is great -- convenient to the DLR but outside the crush of central London; breakfast wonderful -- what more can I say? I especially enjoyed being a block away from Greenwich Park and the Maritime Museum.

I stayed with 2 friends at this charming b & b a couple of weeks ago. We had the garden room, which is lovely. The beds were comfortable and the room is quiet. We have tried a number of options ranging from staying with friends, a Blackheath hotel stay, a Greenwich hotel stay and a couple of B&Bs. I think we have probably found the best of the lot now. Staying in Greenwich

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
