All family rooms are in the basement, and tube trains run directly below. They pass every 15-90 seconds. Pity they dont tell you this over the phone when booking. I wish I was joking. Wont be returning.

Dear Hungrybadger, Thank you for your review. On the lower ground floor we have 2 X 2 bedded rooms and 1 x 4 bedded room. It is correct to say that all of the twin rooms are located on the lower ground floor but of the 70 rooms that we have (approx 40 of which are 4 bedded ensuite rooms...

My friend and I stayed at this hostel when we first moved to London. I was here for about 3 weeks. The rooms are clean and they even have outlets and reading lights on each bed, which is very convenient. The welcome area has a place to eat and order food, a hangout lounge and computers. The staff are more...

Staying at London Central in July 2013 was my first hostel experience, and it far exceeded my expectations. As a first time solo traveller, i was a little nervous when I arrived in London, but once I settled in the hostel, I was quickly feeling comfortable. I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm, which was very clean and nice....

I stayed in a 6 room, female dorm in July for 6 nights. We were in London when there was a rare week of sunshine and high temperatures. I was on the top bunk and it got really hot. There was only a small fan (one that goes on a desk normally), which couldn't really reach the top bunk. Other...

I was apprehensive about a hostel at first, but this place passed all my expectations of what a hostel is like. We had a nice small room with 6 beds but they all weren't filled every night so it wasn't crowded. I loved the common area, they sell food and drinks plus you can get discounts on things to do...

I stayed in a 6 bed room. my bed was cornered in with a tiny gap beside to wall to squeeze up and get into the bed, so naturally it was extremely hot with no airflow. The window barely opened and the other girls in the room closed it to reduce noise. ok for them, they had the only 2...

Nice location, good rooms and it's near the famous places in London. But you need to know somethings before going if you think this is a normal hostel that you receive many things. First, you gotta pay for breakfast and it is NOT cheap, around 5 pounds for the whole meal. Second, wi-fi is also paid and it does not...

Great helpful staff, James especially. Room kind of smelt but compared to other hostel it was fine. Free baggage storage and free wifi downstairs for YHA members (5£ to sign up). Very close to the tube and to Oxford street. In good weather it's also in walking distance from many places. Barely loud at all at night. We enjoyed our...

We were 6 in a room with private bathroom. Very clean, young staff, convenient with buses and tube. The only negative aspect: the room was very hot, with only a small fan. I'll go back again the next time I'll be in London!

Very clean room and cheap hostel (20 pounds/night/person). It's nice and good value for the money. Stayed in a 4-bed dorm with private bathroom/shower. Nice common lounge. 5 minute walk to oxford street.
