We have just had our second visit to Captain Bligh House (CBH) and this time stayed in the Crows Nest and were welcomed back by Gayna & Simon with more tips on things to do & see in London. The Crows Nest is on the top floor and is self contained with separate living bedroom bathroom and kitchenette - perfect... More

We stayed in the Film Studio and found it perfectly adequate; compact but well appointed, with the unexpected bonus of a great view of the cityscape. Location-wise Captain Bligh House is about a 15 minute walk from Waterloo, (but that's with a large suitcase in tow), and if you enjoy a stroll the walk into the centre of London is... More

Gayna and Simon welcomed me back like I was family .The booklet in the Captain's cabin had all the information needed about what to see and how to get there;where best to eat and shop . If I needed anything I rang the ship's bell in the hall and Gayna or Simon was there immediately to help. The room was... More

What a place! What a couple! Wow! Myself, my partner and 2 children spent 4 fantastic nights here and we will return. Gaynor and Simon are amazing...knowledgeable, wonderfully accommodating and quite simply fantastic! They helped us with arranging delivery and collection of a wheelchair for our daughter and nothing was to much trouble! The 2 rooms we occupied were great,... More

I cannot recommend Captain Bligh House highly enough. It is the ONLY place in London I would choose to stay in - great location, beautiful and comfortable accommodation and the most welcoming hosts in Gayna and Simon. Gayna and Simon are the perfect hosts and were incredibly accommodating and helpful at all times. The self contained apartments are furnished brilliantly... More

The moment we arrived we felt like we were right at home with friends. The accommodations are spacious and clean, and more modern than I would have expected in an historic building. Our hosts were charming and gracious, and not at all intrusive, yet readily available should we have needed them. There is no air conditioning but we never found... More

My husband and I enjoyed a 5 night stay, 27 June - 2 July, and the only thing we wish is that it could have been longer! What we loved.... Wonderfully friendly and helpful, yet completely unobtrusive hosts! Perfect location to easily reach all attractions, by walking, bus or underground. We easily walked to most everywhere - especially loved walking... More

This was a great place to stay in London. The owners were very friendly with helpful advice and provided a great selection of food that you can eat in your room. The Captain Bligh house is centrally located in London, very close to the underground and makes a great place for visiting jolly old Londontown.

Great location, 20 min. walk to Westminster Abbey. Very good neighbourhood pubs and restaurants within an easy 10 min. walk. We were in the 'Film Studio', and aside from the minuscule eating area, was fine for two people. Small kitchenette but easily enough space, and small shops nearby to top-up the supplied food for breakfast. Clean and quiet. Good value... More

I stayed in the Captain's Cabin for a week, and I definitely want to return. The room was just big enough for a solo traveler, and it had everything I needed, including a VERY comfy bed with a soft and warm duvet. Located within a five minute walk of the Lambeth North Tube station, and across from two bus stops... More
