This was the second time I stayed at Captain Bligh House. My recent experience completely confirms the impression I had on my first holiday journey, and that decided me to be only a quetion of justice and fairness to make a commen this time. The location is good, very near Westminster, on Lambeth Road, and however distant of all the...

Just had another really nice stay in London and Captain Bligh House once again helped to make it so. Simon & Gayna are consistently friendly and gracious hosts who go the extra mile to make sure your visit is comfortable and enjoyable. The suites themselves are a delight, uniquely decorated and with kitchen facilities (self catering). Grocery stores and the...

The neighborhood is quiet while simultaneously near to most major attractions of the city. The hosts, Gayna and Simon, are extremely accommodating and gracious. We definitely plan to return to the Bligh House!

We have just spent the most enjoyable 4 days ever at Captain Bligh House. We stayed in the Royal Suite which was compact and comfortable. Gayna and Simon the owners, anticipated all our needs and we can't wait to return. Thanks to a couple who give 101%. Christine and Beavon

Words cannot describe our wonderful stay. We arrived to warm welcomes from Gayna and Simon, and was immediately shown to our room. We chatted and she was very helpful and friendly and helped us to get our bearings and settle in. They really provide EVERYTHING you need for a perfect stay. Iron, hair dryer, full kitchen (which comes with lovely...

Perfect room for a single traveler, spotlessly clean, lovely hosts. There's a fridge and appliances to make meals in the room. DVD player and TV. The location is great for exploring central London, there are rental bikes across the street as well as many bus lines to practically everywhere. 15 minute walk to Big Ben and the London Eye.

The biggest surprise for me was how quiet Captain Bligh's was at night. I actually slept like a baby even though we were located just minutes from the heart of the city. The second surprise was how I never had to use the underground or the bus system at all - as mentioned by others, if you are reasonably fit...

My daughter and I stayed at the Captain Bligh House for 4 days and nights at the end of September. Gayna, the hostess, wisely recommended "The London Apartment" for us and it was just perfect. It is a small (but not too small) one bedroom flat with kitchenette, dining table, lounging area, and bathroom. The bedroom has twin beds with...

My mom and I were delighted to return to Captain Bligh House, staying in Crow’s Nest again. We can’t rave about it enough. The apartment is so comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. The open-plan living room/kitchen has a lovely view of the park across from the Imperial War Museum. Gayna and Simon are ideal hosts – incredibly...

Captain Bligh House is situated within the wonderfully vibrant South Bank area with its exciting restaurants, theatres and street entertainers. A 10 minute walk to the London Eye, 20 minutes to Covent Garden or, with our excellent transport facilities, only an 8 minute bus ride to Piccadilly and London's famous West End Theatres.
