Its central location near King's Cross is a hit for ease of access to local attractions, despite occasional noise. While the hotel's unique and playful atmosphere charms many, opinions on value are split, with some concerns over pricing and room maintenance. Really lovely stay. The room was amazing with everything you needed along with complimentary drinks and snacks. We were given the warmest welcome by Monica and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again.

One of the best kept secrets in london, the Mergaro hotel is unassuming , edgy, vibrant and sensational with its views - its location is unrivalled and the service is excellent. We have stayed here now 5 or so times and have had some amazing experiences. Fillipo the manager understands hospitality to its finest details and has a charming and personal approach to ensuring his guests have a comfortable stay. The rooms are designed around the resident experience, have all the amenities and some of the views are pretty spectacular. Situated opposite King’s Cross station, london is on your doorstep and then when you’re done exploring you can return to the comfort of this stylish hotel to recharge. We loved staying here and the personalised touches to our stay were very much appreciated- thanks Fillipo and team Megaro - we will see you again soon.

Very warm welcome on arrival. The room was unique with absolutely stunning decor. All facilities you could ever need were available in the room. Breakfast was very nice, in an interesting room. The choice was good, and the service friendly. In addition, we enjoyed cocktails in an alchemist bar situated downstairs!

We stayed for st valentine weekend. The room was amazing, perfect atmosphere for st valentine day! The biscuits on arrival were delicious and the glass of prosecco very welcoming. On another note the ac was not working properly and the noise from outside a little disturbing on the departure day. Overall a wonderful stay!

Nicest Hotel stay we've had in London, beautiful decor and great hospitality from staff. Filippo the manager really pulled out the stops to give us the best stay possible for my partners birthday. So close to the rail links, bars & restaurants too. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a trip to London or a night away before an early Eurostar.

Mixed feelings about this place. We booked a junior suite, which we now understand to be a classic style. We also had a special offer which included breakfast. In the case of our room "classic" means bland, and sparsely furnished - one sofa, and one chair - carpet had a cut across the middle of the room. It was clear that that the area of the living room element was hiding a folding bed. Sorry this is not suite by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe a "family room". Google describes this as a 5* hotel, sorry it isn't. Compare this room with those available across the road, then you can see why it isn't 5*. The room was very tatty, the grout lines in the shower room were filthy and the tap unit on the sink was corroded and scaled. The bed was comfortable, but in a room with so much space you could furnish it with a super king. Overnight we could hear a repeating and low volume drone - whether it was the building, or something else, but at times it was intrusive. The staff on reception were polite and perfunctory, but they did not voluntarily explain anything about the hotel, that the main restaurant was shut, that the included breakfast choice was very limited. We were offered a complimentary drinks voucher on check in. Which was nice It is a bit misleading to put the full breakfast menu on the Spagnoletti website and then not tell you that the B&B breakfast menu was massively restricted. To only offer filter coffee is a particularly poor show - luckily your excellent team member saw sense and didn't charge us for the espresso and cappuccino. Whilst the breakfast we had was pretty good, but neither was based upon our preferences derived from looking at the website. I guess we could have paid extra but that isn't the point of an included breakfast, The staff in Spagnoletti were very nice and helpful, we stopped by and had a dessert in there when we got back from dinner. The desserts were delicious and well presented. Overall mixed impressions - this is definitely not a 5* hotel as claimed by Google. It is ok, but a bit average. Given the room we had i would suggest 3* - I think we would choose to pay more elsewhere though.
