We needed a quiet hotel room close enough to wheel luggage to St.Pancras. We had an excellent quiet room, with a very comfortable bed and got a good nights sleep. We could open the windows, to avoid dehydrating aircon. Bathroom was big. Nice free things in the minibar. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of facilities, and an amazing cocktail bar, but we did not have time to try them on this trip.
One fault in such a music inspired hotel is the lack of sound system in the rooms. A speaker in a modern hotel is a given really. Would have been nice to play our music through a speaker during our stay whilst getting ready to go out etc
The Megaro was in a great position, the room gave a chance to unpack stuff without feeling like you were touching all the walls at once. It suited us perfectly for what we were looking for which was a place to stay after getting off Eurostar and then picking up a hire car at St Pancras.
as I wrote earlier : it was perfect and your team has been fantastic ! the place is well located ... room was great and very confortable ... price was also interested versus others places with lower services ...
What a wonderful one night stay, amazing decor, super friendly staff, confortable family room and the best breakfast! I would highly recommend, especially as the Kings Cross area has been so nicely developed and its near Camden.
Cool and modern hotel located opposite King's Cross. Access to the underground nearby. We had a studio with more space and with a wonderful view on St. Pancras station. Insulated windows keep the noise out. Breakfast is la cart and exceptionally tasty and served by very obliging staff. The entire staff is very friendly. It was a pleasant stay and a good starting point to explore the city to the south and to the north towards Camden. Eurostar train station is St. Pancras if one like to use the train from mainland.
This hotel is very handy for travelling in & out of Kings Cross. The rooms are nice, staff excellent and I think good value compared to other hotels in the area. The rooms are large, good showers and comfortable beds.
On the 10th of September 2022, I was making my way down from Yorkshire to Kings Cross by train to check in the rather mysteriously named The Megaro, a hotel, a very short walking distance from the train station. My other half, Lucy, had booked a one night stay. She was making her way from Bristol that day. She left a suitcase before the check in time at the reception, for me to pick up when I check in as she had to immediately leave for Central London for a family meet. The reception was more than happy to keep it safe until my arrival. As I entered the reception area, I was impressed by the attention to detail in the decor. It inspired thoughts of a movie set. Contemporary and yet with broad strokes of a vintage feel. With the lights dimmed enough to create a palpable sense of intimacy and comfort. I liked that. At the reception, I was welcomed by the ever delightful Jo. She very quickly handed me the suitcase after I had introduced myself. We exchanged a few niceties, she adequately explained everything there was to know about our stay in the hotel. Jo's customer service was simply second to none. So much so, I can confidently say that she's the kind of person, after encountering her for the first time, you'd genuinely wish that every single hospitality establishment to have a "Jo" to welcome you. Unfortunately, as we all know, that's not the case, and it's for that reason that Jo is not just a receptionist, she's The Megaro for those who enter through the doors of the hotel. Later on, Lucy and I, were given a little but very interesting tour of the bar, the other downstairs bar and even the soon to be opened restaurant. We were led by a very well groomed gentleman. He was indeed more than welcoming. The room was lovely. The shower was great. Perhaps, I may suggest to put an extra light in the coffee making area as it's rather dark and one struggles to see what they're doing, particularly with a machine they may not be familiar with. The next day, as we were checking out, we asked if we could leave our suitcase safely at the reception as we wanted to do a little bit of traveling in London. Jo, again, came to rescue. It's then that we met Mustafa, the kindest, most helpful man. What a gentleman! He was funny, obliging and simply there for you. Jo and Mustafa simply made our stay memorable. The key word being "memorable" because that's what makes people come back. Always. Investing in people like Jo and Mustafa is a sure way to make an enterprise successful. Thank you both. Ham Zanoun (with Lucy Tuck check in)…
Across the street from Kings Cross and St. Pancras Station this is a perfect location for all underground and rail services. Parts of the hotel have been upgraded but our room, although clean was in need of some love.
This hotel really is an oasis in a desert. Kings Cross isn't known for notable hotels and yet you have The Megaro... situated across from KX and St Pancras with its distinctive painted exterior. Inside the hotel the mood is contemporary, dark yet well lit. The rooms are quirky, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was top quality and worth the extra expense. And yet the most compelling aspect to The Megaro was the staff. I have often found London hotel staff to be quite "offish" and disinterested. However, the staff were engaging, friendly and extremely welcoming. They were an aboslute credit to the hotel and made our stay that extra bit memorable.
