Stayed for 2 nights last weekend. Check in was fine, girl who checked us in very friendly. Room was a nice size, we had a balcony which was a nice extra and great for people watching. It could do with chairs being put out on the balcony. Room cleanliness not the best bits on carpet, dust on tv, lamp and obvious areas, hairs and dirt in bathroom. Would of expected a better standard considering the current situation we are living in. No fridge in the room and shower not very good could do with replacing. Also struggled to get hot water from the shower. The room was overly hot, we had plug in air conditioning as the system was switched off, completely understood why but Unfortunately it wasn’t that efficient, was overly noisy and gave me a very dry throat so had to switch it off. The hotel and room generally looked like it needed updating and some TLC. I have wanted to stay in this hotel for ages, I did enjoy my stay nothing I have mentioned ruined my weekend but I was sadly a little disappointed by the hotel.

Dear mathor19, Thank you for taking the time to leave your constructive feedback. I was happy to see you enjoyed the balcony room during your visit, due to health and safety regulations we would not be able to set tables and chairs out there. I would like to apologise for the standard of cleanliness in your room, I will share this with our housekeeping teams to ensure this does not happen again. Your feedback helps us to improve the services we provide and its much appreciated during this turbulent time we are all facing. Should you wish to stay with us again please contact me directly at the hotel. liam.bellew@harddaysnighthotel.com Warmest Wishes, Liam Bellew Front Office Manager

We stayed at the hotel last night and we could not believe how big the rooms are. It is pricy but it is well worth the money. Once checking in we went to the lounge bar and both Holly and Mina (the girls behind the bar) where such great people. We was chatting to them both for most of the night. Atmosphere is fabulous and I could not fault a single thing about the hotel.

I have e-mailed the hotel twice since our recent stay and both e-mails have been ignored!! Hotel is not ready to re-open. They have re-opened with a much reduced service. However, their website and prices certainly do not reflect this. VERY disappointed with our stay and even more disappointed that my complaint has continued to be ignored!! Copy of e-mail sent to the hotel below!! Avoid booking this hotel until they can confirm they have all services in place. With regret I am contacting you to express deep dissatisfaction with our stay at your hotel on Friday 25th July 2020. I had booked a night away for my husband's 40th birthday and we were extremely disappointed. Upon arrival to the room, I was very surprised at the 'Luxury' room I had booked was anything but luxury!! Infact, I would call it the opposite. I was even more disappointed that the hotel bar and restaurant were closed - this was one of the reasons I booked the hotel. It did not say anywhere when I booked that these services would not be available. The breakfast the following morning was appalling. I cannot see how a small self-service table can comply with COVID-19 hygiene regulations when all guests are helping themselves to the same coffee pot / jug of milk etc. There was no explanation anywhere when I booked this. There is no way I would have paid the extra for breakfast had I had known this is what we would be provided with. I understand that with the current climate not all services can be available, but we had been to many other establishments around Liverpool who were able to cater for guests properly. If all services are not available, perhaps your rates should reflect this. I do not agree that the rate I paid reflects the service and experience in which we received. This is a really shame and a disappointment as it was a special occasion and something we had looked forward to. We have always enjoyed visiting your hotel but will not be returning in a hurry.

Dear cthomas2708, Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review of your recent stay. At Hard Days Night Hotel we strive to be the best and want to ensure our guests have the best experience. I am disappointed to see you have said that your email of complaint has been ignored, an email was sent to you on the 5th August 2020 at 11:03 I would suggest check any spam or junk mail you may have to view this. Our current climate has massively impacted the way we do things at the hotel, but I am proud to say never impacted our style of service. I am sorry you feel this way and all constructive feedback will be translated to the relevant departments. In regards to no notice given to our guests about our outlets not being open is and has been updated on all platforms to ensure our guests receive up to date information. At the time of check in you would of received our welcome letter explaining the current situation, our lounge bar is fully open for guests to drink and enjoy food which is also provided from our new limited menu options. I would like to extend my apologies and do hope at some point in the not to distant future we can welcome you back. If you wish to discuss this in more detail you do have all my information. Warmest Wishes, Liam Bellew Front Office Manager

We were really looking forward to our stay here after seeing the images online and it looking impressive. But I was left underwhelmed, firstly we were charged twice which we questioned on check out. The room I just expected more, we had booked a deluxe room with city view balcony, the room was very tired definitely in need of redecoration, the fan in the bathroom was caked in dirt and dust, shower door didn't shut properly, the quilt was covered in stains which you could see through the duvet cover and the pillows were so soft felt like you were sleeping without any. I felt sorry for the guy on duty on Sunday as he seemed to be on his own for a while, letting people in, checking them in and serving drinks. He most definitely needed support. I was very disappointed at check out when there was no interaction at all from the guy on reception, didn't ask how our stay was or anything, we asked him regarding being charged twice which he said he would sort but didn't actually do anything on the computer, so we will wait and see what happens with that. I totally understand we are living in different times at the moment but manners and cleanliness should still be number one priority.

We arrived at the hotel at around 6pm and waited 20 mins for a member of staff to check us in. The receptionist appeared a little stressed but was pleasant and polite and tried to get our room sorted ASAP. We booked a superior room with balcony. The room was clean, although a little tired looking. The balcony view was ace, albeit rather dangerous (there are no divides between rooms - and a board missing on the floor we were on). The bed was comfortable, although I would have preferred firmer pillows. There was enough coffee and tea for both of us & check out was straight forward. If you park at Q Park, Liverpool One you are able to get a discount from the hotel. We didn't bother with the take away breakfast as we didn't believe it was good value & could have eaten in at a local pub/cafe. All in all, a positive experience and I am keen to rebook when life returns to a bit more normality.
