We visited the Pineapple hotel last night. After reading the reviews we were so worried. But we got to the hotel (£5 from lime street in a taxi) and walked into the bar which was a little out dated but with plenty of alcohol to offer (yes some in cans but cheap) rooms were already ready at 12 so they... We stayed in June, myself and two other friends booked rooms via booking.com. The hotel had no record of our bookings and made us all sit in one room until 6pm - finally we were given rooms however 4 people were made to share a twin room with two single beds no offer of extra bedding and still charged for... The room we were allocated when we first arrived was below standard with a few things not working properly but the staff went out of their way to find us another, much more suitable room that suited our needs. It was the friendly welcome we received that made the most impact on us and we felt comfortable chatting with the... More

Well what can I say about this terrible and disgusting hotel? It's in the roughest area of Liverpool known to mankind and next to one of the main roads of the city, it stinks of rotten sewage and very outdated, as well as the fact they don't stock the latest beers and drinks you would require at a hotel. I... More

I stayed here with a few friends when we were up for the football, it's a very basic room but the beds were clean and the staff friendly. They couldn't do enough for you, and for the price we paid you couldn't fault it at all. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Wasn't in the room for that long, just sleep but tried tv in the morning, no remote, no good. Traffic noise starts early if you are a light sleeper like me it could be a problem The price was very good for a base close to the city centre. It is a tired hotel which is reflected in the price

We booked this hotel via an online hotel booking company which said it had parking - it didn't - said it was 0.8 miles from the Echo Arena where we were going for the evening - it was 2.8 miles and when we arrived we thought we had the wrong place - it appeared to be surrounded by barbed wire!... A clean enough hotel but it's more of a bed and breakfast as the rooms aren't ensuite. The bar clientele is a bit on the rough side all the tables and chairs are bolted to the floor, one man on haring my accent got very annoyed and made some nasty comments

The Pineapple is a 150 year old, family owned, former coaching inn one mile from the City Centre. It is now a B&B with a popular bar but the name and the locals' bar have both remained. We are just 20 minutes from the John Lennon Airport on the way to the City and only 5 minutes from Lime Street Station and all other popular attractions and nightlife.
