Let me start off by saying that I have grown up locally and been going to the Abbey since I was a child! I even bought my first pint here aged 16 or so.. Moved away from the area but my family are still local. I've always had fond thoughts of the Abbey and I love the setting.. However, today... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights. A good alternative to the city centre hotels and situated in a nice quiet residential area. Rooms are comfortable and the bar meals are very good with plenty of options to suit all tastes. All the staff were very friendly, however, there could have been more in the bar as there were not... I ordered some non alcoholic drinks from the bar. Outside the lemonade tasted funny and my friends coke was flat I took the drinks back. The male bar staff took it upon himself to "educate me" as he put it not only did he do this he did it In Front of another customer. I kindly thanked him for the... More

Lovely food at a reasonable price. Lovely surrounding and extra nice when weather is nice and the outside seating area can be used. Feels like it's outside of Liverpool been though it is only down the road. Sure it would have a great atmosphere and feel around Christmas time- such a traditional feel to the place.

The building looks good and I must say the staff are great. The only problem is that they well under staffed. Paula was great and looked after me, as I was at the bar. Two bars and one member of staff. Not good at all. The only positive note was the room. It was very clean and I would recommend... More

This is the second time me and my partner have stayed here, due to the first visit being so lovely. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. Staff make you feel extremely welcome and are always happy to help with anything you need. Their smiley personalities makes the stay even better! The rooms/bathrooms are clean, a good size, and value... More

I was attending a family wedding in Liverpool in June and selected Childwall Abbey as it was handy to where the wedding was. The hotel room ( #2) was a generous size overlooking the courtyard. It was basic but clean and the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help us during our stay. There are... More

Booked to stay on a one night stop off. The location of the hotel is beautiful as is the building and pub the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well laid out, however the bathroom although looked clean absolutely stunk of urine so was really unpleasant to use. The breakfast room was well laid out with... More
