We had a 2 night bed and breakfast stay in Liverpool for the football. Met at reception by Kev and he was a great font of knowledge of Liverpool and seemed very proud of the city. The two football grounds are just about 10-15 mins. away and the city centre again 10 - 15 mis away with busses frequently passing... More

This is the second time that I have stayed here with my son - each time to go to a football match at Anfield. The hotel is just great and really handy for the stadium - just a 20 minute walk. Kevin was really friendly and helpful. The room we had (both times) had everything we needed (including free and... More

Kevin is great and if possible will help you with anything from where to visit, places to eat in fact anything you require. Breakfast is very good and sets you up for the day. Just home from the throstles nest hotel. This hotel was fantastic. The rooms were very clean and well equipped for all our needs. Kevin the owner was very welcoming and could not do enough for us. He provided a map of the city free of charge and helped us plan our routes so we wouldn't get lost. Such a lovely... More

The Hotel is 20mins walk from the citycentre (Lime street Station). You can take bus 55,53,20 and many more from queens sqare to the hotel, but the best thing you can do is just get a cab,it is super cheap in Liverpool.Hotel is an Old building but nicely decorated, comfortable, spacious clean rooms, beds, and toilets. You will get all you need.In my opinion more... The staff were all lovely, welcoming and helpful people. The building is very clean, beds were very comfy and breakfast was gorgeous. On the second day breakfast stopped at 9.30am and we thought it was at 10.30 so when we arrived down at 9.30 they were finished with the food but the woman in the kitchen still offered to make... Booked into the hotel for work and not normally the kind of venue I'd stay in It's basic but very clean. Disappointed to get one of the few rooms which weren't ensuite , a must in this day and age. Pricing is excellent value, however. The staff and owners more than made up for the lack of facilities. The customer... More

I have to say, when I drove into the area to look for the hotel, I was worried it was in one of the rougher parts of Liverpool. The hotel has a pub and all the shutters were down on it, albeit half way up on the front door and another pub next door had bars on all the windows... More
