It was our special day yesterday, we got married at St George's Hall then has a twilight package at the Alicia, which went exactly as the events manager Becky helped us plan. We were met on arrival with gallons of prosecco and wonderful canapes, and hoards of staff milling around ensuring our needs were met. The duty manager ensured everything...

The hotel is located in a very nice area at the side of a big park on a fairly quiet road. On checking in the receptionist(Jamie) was very friendly and welcoming. She explained the whereabouts of the hotel and local amenities. We found our room to be slightly on the small side as you had to squeeze round the bed...

When we arrived the hotel was quiet and was a good location. However when we returned to the hotel around 10pm there was a loud party with disco in full swing. We were booked into a room directly above the party. Then when we complained were told 'this is a functions hotel' but we were moved to a slightly quieter...

Hotel set in a nice setting, I did not have breakfast (£10.99) , room was ok, except bathroom was a bit old fashioned (fully peach), my only criticism was that reception desk could have worked a bit harder telling me about the different facilities within the hotel, i.e. gym, swimming pool, I only realised when I was checking out!

It is apparent that the hotel has had some refurbishment since changing to Hallmark. But it's still old, creaky and paper thin walls. The hotel is relatively small and staff were friendly and helpful. The food was poor and would not recommend but breakfast was good. Hotel is easy to find but not central to Liverpool. I went using a...

Hotel needs an overhaul! We had to move room because not only cramped and half decorated but the sheets were dirty. Second room up carpet worn stairs near the kitchen. Woken at 5am by loud swearing kitchen hands starting their day. Wedding disco loudly thumped until mid-night. Not clean, banister sticky and lots of dust. Breakfast not ready until 8.15....

just aweful ! rediculously noisy, walls & floors are paper thin. doors don't have soft closures on them & bang all night long. the whirring of the kitchen extraction fan will keep you up all night if you're unfortunate enough to have a room near it. music from the disco downstairs blasting away until gone 2:00am & is far too...

Basically the place is filthy, decor is very out dated, the room was tiny and uncomfortable, toilet paper thin and cheap, night porter extremely rude to us, and on the Saturday the wedding sick went on very loudly until 1am so unable to sleep. What a complete rip off and would never stay again or recommend it. We had other...

The room was a good size and comfortable, but the walls were paper thin which led to a fairly lurid night..... The corridor outside the room smelt strongly of damp and was quite nauseating. Breakfast in the conservatory was excellent - good ,plentiful, varied menu - served in the conservatory which provided a gorgeous view of Aigburth Park. The staff were...

We came here thinking we had landed a bargain. The rooms are small, there isn't any hot water so had to wash in cold. The staff are friendly apart from the night Porter who we found very abrupt. Breakfast was ok, not the best I've had and not the worst, The dining room floor could have done with a sweep...
