We were in Liverpool for a long weekend and stayed for two nights, lovely room with Jacuzzi bath. The room was very comfortable and the staff at the hotel were excellent, breakfast was buffet style and was really good. We had a evening meal too and that was very nice. All in all great value and I would recommend it highly.

Apart from a lying satnav which got me on a duel carriageway with no u turns or cross overs it was easy to find. Staff very pleasant, room clean and comfortable. Certainly value for money.Close to Centre of Liverpool , £6 taxi fare to theatre and mainline rail station; in a quiet area

My wife and I spent one night there to for a Bon Jovi concert. The hotel is located behind a derelict hotel building, we where worried at first, then had a laugh at our mistake. The actual hotel building looks quite nice.. from the outside. The check in staff where friendly. We where early, so we left our bags at reception and went for lunch. When we returned we got or keys and went to our room. The key card didn't work. Down to reception. Whoops we had been told the wrong room. Oh well, mistakes happen. Correct key and on to the room. Can I say the lift is small limited to 4 people, and VERY slow. Into the room. Very depressing. The carpet was old and stained, paint peeling off the walls, a suspended ceiling that looked like it had been up 20 years, light fixtures that where dirty and looked like they had been up for 30 years, interesting fabric wall hangings scattered about the walls. The bathroom was equally run down, but it was clean. The bed looked no better than the room, but the sheets where clean and we did sleep just fine, even with 4 inch thick pillows. The TV... 2 channels. The breakfast was good, buffet style with plenty of choice and it was refreshed regularly. Overall the hotel is a bit on the rundown side, date I say shabby. But for one night, it did job.

Booked this hotel (on a recommendation!!) for after the Take That gig at Anfield. They told us it was a simple ten minute walk away (should have checked). The room was unbelievable. Looked like a dentists waiting room. Overheated (radiators on in June??), bed was so uncomfortable. Cold water was tepid warm and cloudy. We gave up trying to sleep at 4am and drove home. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the garden looked quite nice but everything about the interior was awful. This is in NO WAY a 3 star establishment. It's actually shocking it's so bad. There were screws in the walls (presumably for picture hooks?) but no pictures. No proper curtains, the thinnest pillows ever made, the most uncomfortable bed ever pulled out of a skip (I assume) Oh god, do yourselves a favour and sleep in the car if you must, this is not a place to try to sleep.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and it got worse every night. The first night was fine. We checked in went to our room which was on the first floor. Walked in the room and it's was clean and tidy. Walked in the bathroom and it was boiling hot. Tried to turn the radiator down but the control was broke so it was on full for our whole stay so we had to keep the window open. We went for a walk then returned to the Bar. There was only one lad on who was being out food and running the bar. A pint of Pespi was the same price as a pint of beer! The food was nice. The main problem with the bar was it only opened between 5pm and 11pm. We had breakfast every morning and it was always nice. The second evening we returned around 11:30pm after being at Anfield watching Take That. When we got to our room the keycard wouldn't work. After 2 visits to reception it still wasn't working so they let us in with a key, and it got sorted in the morning. At around 5:30am one staff member was outside emptying the beer bottles into the main bin, which woke us up. On the last evening we decided, after spending the day in Liverpool, to have a meal in the bar. We walked down to find the whole place taken up by a wedding party and couldn't get in. This wouldn't have been a problem if we were informed of this on arrival. We ended up going out to the Frankie and Bennys down the road. Overall the hotel needs a bit of TLC and need to look after the guests that are staying in the hotel. I will say that the staff were very nice
