The general hotel and rooms are very dated and run down. Only 2 milks provided with tea and coffee condiments. Extremely uncomfortable bed with dirty / marked bed sheets. Would never stay again. Extremely overpriced at £77 per night.

Nice hotel. Pleasant staff. Good value. Large spotless rooms. Good value bar food. Easy access to town centre. Would come again. Arrived early but the hotel managed to get our room ready. There was ample parking. You had to leave sign if you wanted room serviced, personally think rooms should be serviced every day. Thought the breakfast could've been better... More

The room was great and the staff friendly. However, we had no lighting in our room for the 2 days/nights of our stay. I did complain & was given an extra table lamp to use. However, it was not light enough to even read by. There was no light at all in the bathroom at night. The reception staff told... More

From the outside this place looks lovely set amongst nice gardens. The foyer area is quite flash then you walk down the passage to your room. It is quite spacious, good supply of tea and coffee, bed comfortable. The whole place looks a little tired, needs refreshing with a coat of paint and some new furniture. It is located only... More

In the late 1990s, I was a regular at "The Dev," and remember it as a friendly, welcoming, cozy, professionally-run hotel with a decent restaurant. How things have changed. If it hadn't been for one of the receptionists (who I think was called Amy), I would have rated this review as "Terrible." More about Amy later... Firstly, our room was... More

Got a discounted booking on Hotels.com, and to be honest this made it value for money. Room was Ok size wise with a generous supply of Tea/Coffee supplied, the TV sat on a slant when the bracket was extended so you could watch it, decent flat screen model, the room was clean and tidy, but the whole hotel could do... From start to end right back from booking venue staff were very helpful, very organised, gave us all the help & advise that we needed, could not of asked for anything else. We had our reception in the rose room, lovely set out, even managed to have a trial run of walking down aisle with... More

Had our Wedding here on 28th May, room was decorated just as we asked but that was down to another company (Ambience). The majority of Staff here were friendly and welcoming however we were so disappointed to have to make a complaint in the days following the wedding.....where do I start. Firstly, radiators were left on full belt all day... More
