Just returned from spending two nights at this lovely budget hotel. We booked with some trepidation after reading some of the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our room (218) was small but adequate and was spotlessly clean. Tea and coffe making facilities are provided along with basic toiletries. The continental breakfast provided an assortment of cereals, yogurts, toast, jams,...

Sipoges booked The Lord Nelson Hotel 2 days before NYE 2016. The booking was made after Sipoges fancied having a night away for New Years and Liverpool was in mind because Oges had been trying desperately to get her hands on Liverpool FC match tickets for Sip for Crimbo. Despite Oges failure in this department, Liverpool was still a hot...

very noisy late at night, cold showers and radiator that is useless. Staff unhelpful with a manager who is a complete myth that refuses to engage in conversation if something isn't right. It's £30 a night for a reason. Don't put yourself through this.

Staff were lovely and accomodating. Nice little bar with tv and seating area. Room was on 3rd floor, small but very clean and adequate for a short break. Only issue was that the lift gets turned off at 9.30 because of the noise? Bit of a trek after a few drinks, but fine :) Would recommend and definitely return.

Lovely from the outside and inside. Double room clean, a big telly and a fab shower. Bed very comfy and had a good night sleep. Staff very friendly. Breakfast continental was nice would have liked a hot breakfast but for the price for a night which was well worth it i can understand it.

We stayed here for 2 nights the hotel was very clean, the room had a large screen tv and coffee making facilities with a large bathroom. The location of the hotel is within walking distance to the city centre for all your shopping and entertainment needs and right beside the lime st. train station. The staff were excellent very helpful...

I quite like this hotel- the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are basic but very very reasonably priced for the location-breakfast was pleasantly surprising -good choice and fresh coffee was served,
