Where do I start? A triple room, and one set of towels?! Figure? Light hanging off ceiling, the light bulb was about as bright as a historic candle...the shower was more like a leaking pipe! No pressure at all, no condiments in bathroom either. And to top it off, we arrived back to the hotel at 3am to be locked... More

The only positive experience from this hotel was it's kind staff member. The hotel's carpet looks like it has not been hoovered for years. Room very shabby and unclean. The shower did not work properly. Outside of the hotel not very pleasant too (toilet seat & carpet thrown next to the bin). The area the hotel is situated is also... More

There are lots of negative reviews of this hotel and, from my experience there, I do think that many are a little over-the-top. The hotel appears to be quite an old one so you are unlikely to get perfection in such a place and we did indeed find a few issues that detracted from our enjoyment. That said, I really... More

Dirty, shabby, untidy...I could go on but what is the point. This was the worst place we stayed in and to think we actually paid for it!! Our room was so dirty my wife slept with her clothes on!! We should have just looked for something else. Wifi was a waste of time as it was slow and dropped off... More

Yes it is an old converted possibly victorian house, so you would expect a lot of creeks etc. However we had a room on the top floor, very clean and fresh family room, a double bed and 2 singles., TV, Wardrobe, bathroom did the job. Slight problem with he plumbing but could have been because we were high up. Enough... More

If you want to be treated like a criminal and stay in a DSS doss house this is the hotel for you. This is the first time I have been asked to pay a security deposit to stay in a hotel, and then been asked to pay in advance to stay in a hotel. On leaving the hotel staff even... More

The hotel has a car parking area in front and its easy to get to. We used the buses to go to Liverpool Front and Centre , the buses run frequently and the stop is nearby The room was OK and had a kettle tea and coffee etc. Nearby is a BoozeBargain store and a few shops. The Room was... More

Upon arrival at 6 in the evening a group of drunken men were playing pool in the lounge. We were taken to a ground floor room which was isolated from the main body of the house. The door was stiff and needed a strong shoulder to open it. The first noticeable problem was the dirt, mould, damp and odour. The... More

Horrible experience, paid gbp 70 for one night for a dump place. The room has a strong cigarette smell, dirty floor, bedding and cracked ceiling. The room is damp and the small TV 14 inches didn't even work. It's a rip off, stay away from this hotel.

Looks quite presentable from the outside and there is good off-road parking for probably 8-10 cars. We were told that my husband and I had been allocated the best room in the hotel. So if that is their own standard of excellence, that would indicate how poor the rest of the provision is. Our en-suite room was at the front... More
