If you can't afford to update this hotel sell it so a company that prides them self in style and quality can do so. Furniture tired, carpets from an old people's home, who has to pay for wifi in a hotel these days!! Cream bathroom suite With dodgy fake marble affect chip board walls. The gym is dirty / changing rooms filthy.... More

We stayed at the Adelphi for 4 nights with a coach trip. The downstairs lounge areas are magnificent. Our room was large, a bit old fashioned but with constant hot water, tea and coffee making facilities and lots of storage. Yes the lifts were a pain as there were only 2 and were very small. The food was plentiful with... More

Our room was amazing for the price we paid: wood panelled walls, a large lounge area, and a view into the city. The hotel in general is highly evocative of the glory days of ocean liner travel and tasteful glamour, and I would have no hesitation in staying here again and again. However, as many others have pointed out, this... More

This is a grand, old hotel, located a short walk from the city centre, which is a large pedestrian area covering several blocks. The hotel is old and consequently has the limitations of an old hotel. But its age is well-preserved. Several excellent restaurants on the property; a couple of bars/lounges, as well. Not much else in the way of... More

This hotel is right slap bang in the centre of Liverpool, and only 3 minute walk from the main station. The hotel itself is very old, having been built around 1862, so of course there will be problems. Firstly, check in - when large groups arrive, check in can take around 30 minutes to process. The two lifts serve all... More

The room we stayed in on the 5th floor had stained ceilings with a view of some sort of butress out side which was full of cigarette ends so we had no view at all. The old metal Windows were hard to open and the room was hot and had no air con. The 2 lifts were totally in adequate... More

I had always wanted to go to the famous Adelphi Hotel. In it's glory days it must have been really impressive. The building itself is still lovely. Inside it is rather old and tired, although the huge chandelier in the main lounge is beautiful. The staff were friendly and the room very large, in the centre of the hotel, so... More

A cracking hotel which has long stood the test of time. Lots of old fashioned charm. Some hotel rooms could do with updating and im not sure the tiny telly on the far side of the room from the bed really wprks but.... Helpful, friendly staff and fantastic location for a Liverpool stay!

Booked via a last minute website last minute as it was all I could find in liverpool. Read trip advisor and felt ill! But please read on..... This hotel is original Edwardian grade II listed building- over 100 years old. The architecture is simply amazing and must be seen to be appreciated. I absolutely loved it as did my two... More
