#15 of 121 in Liverpool
Snooze is a 9 bedroom guest accommodation converted in 2007 from shops with a major remodeling project by Bill Rich and Dan and extended in 2011 with an even more adventurous project. All rooms are en-suite double/family or with powerful showers and flat screen TV/DVDs. With just a £6 taxi ride into town, free continental breakfast, free car park at the rear and pleasant dining facilities for breakfast and evening takeaways Snooze is the number 1 choice for those who don’t fancy City Centre prices but don’t want to compromise on room quality. Consistently highly reviewed on TripAdvisor and our third party booking sites, Snooze prides itself on quality rooms at low prices. As we refined Snooze over the years we have introduced some useful ideas like our guest information book and a new reception display showing pictures with a description of numerous great places to go in Liverpool that many tourists miss like the Lodge Lane restaurants or Pinky Blinders in the Baltic Triangle.

Had a great nights stay here with my daughter after seeing Bon Jovi at Anfield, spotlessly clean, lovely hosts. Where else can you make Tea and Toast at 1.30am? Self service breakfast with as much cereal, toast and tea/coffee as you wish. Buses and taxis are plentiful as its on the main road to the city centre and friendly pubs next door, Chinese opposite and local café and mini market nearby. Would definitely stay here again, hopefully when my husband tours Anfield and I go site seeing in Summer.

Stayed here for a stag weekend trip to Liverpool. Basic accommodation but bedding and room clean. Couple of damp patches on ceiling and shower could have done with re-grouting and masticing but all generally clean. Helpful reception guy, tea, toast and croissants at breakfast and tea/coffee sachets plentiful in room. Far better value than city centre hotels.

Great host. Easy access to the city with a great bus service. Worth getting the travel can at ss mini market opposite for £4.10 but £1 for card but cover you for bus, trains and commute boats week days. Breakfast is simple but very lie back. The bed is as comfort able the premier inn.

Great hotel for a couple of nights stay for the football. Car park round the back, breakfast in the morning, owner very helpful, great price. About a 10 minute taxi into the city, we used Uber which was straight forward and about £6.

The accommodation was basic but spotlessly clean the bed was changed every day and replaced with crisp white sheets, the water in the shower was a perfect temperature, and instead of milk in little cartons, fresh milk was provided but the icing on the cake was the manager Danny, he was so accommodating, friendly and would put himself out for anyone.

We started our trip down to Liverpool which is a long journey for me and my partner arriving at 9:30 we just wanted to get into the room. When we arrive we couldn’t find the car park resulting in my parter waiting on a busy road whilst I ran in to ask. However, when I get to the door there is no one there and no lights on. I buzzed the bell with no response until another guest opened the door for me telling me to ring a number which was on a sign on the door. The sign was written in a colour which had faded to nearly disappeared impossible to see in the dark. The guest had to shine a light for us to read. After using the reception phone and my own phone I still had no answer until I got a call back saying my room was open, the room I was in and to go and get the key out of it. I went up to the room to direct my partner where to go to the car park from the window. Once in the room it was extremely cold on arrival but soon warmed up after turning the radiator on. However this goes off and is cold in the mornings and can’t be turned back on. After further inspection of the room we had no flush button on our toilet and the shower head holder was broken resulting in us holding the shower head. Although this was resolved without being asked. The shower was also COVERED in mould. The bed was very comfortable which was our main priority as we only wanted the room to sleep in. However the pillows were cheap as cheerful being very thin. After our first night expecting to see someone downstairs to say about our toilet and shower no one was to be seen still. This continued until the morning we left. Now breakfast!! When it says breakfast is included DO NOT get excited. You only receive a self service of toast and cereal and a yoghurt with tea or coffee. Not the breakfast I was expecting at the price. This was one of the points that sold the room to me which I was extremely disappointed by. Although the breakfast area was kept clean and was a nice area to sit and talk with other guests. However when going down and saying goodmorning to a man on reception we were ignored and given no response. The day we were leaving I received a message from the owner telling me my room number the code to get in the back door (I had been walking around the hotel from the car park every day) and what time breakfast was. Finally when going down to hand in our key we’re got greeted with staring eyes which made us think we shouldn’t be putting our key into the designated check out box, so we asked would you like us to put them in there and received a response of we’ll obviously. We said our good bye and was told to have a safe journey again. The location was a good distance from the centre and Anfield. Using a taxi to get around we paid no more than £7 for a journey. Would I use the accommodation again. If nothing better came up. It was sufficient for our need but not very high standard in anyway shape or form.

Well never judge a book by its cover, the weekend away was a surprise. When we arrived it didn't look very big. We parked around the back in a small car park, and was met by a man waiting for us, we was shown to our room for the weekend, the room was very spacious very clean and lots of tea, coffee and milk, he told us about breakfast self service drinks, cereal, toast. Then gave us some tips on where to go. We had a problem with the TV this was sorted in 15mins and was due to some work be carried out. This small family run business was a great place to stay yes there was things that needed sorting out but it was only a visual thing everything worked well, the bed was massive and very comfortable. Liverpool city centre was less than 5 minutes down the road.

Visited for a two day business trip. Room was very large, property had parking and staff was really helpful over the phone even if we arrived around midnight. Lots of extra facilities such as hair dryer and even an ironing board.
