My husband and I went to Lincoln for the weekend, we stayed here at The Allotment House......well what a find?! Barbara who owns the B&B is just lovely and couldn't do enough for us. She made us a pot of tea with homemade brownies when we arrived set in the lovely dining room. The breakfast menu had lots of choice and she was very accommodating when I managed to confuse her (and myself!). After a day out in Lincoln we came back to homemade flapjack which was delicious and such a lovely thought. Breakfast was excellent piping hot and filling, homemade jam and marmalade for the toast served in little jars, cloth napkins, a lovely set table what more could you ask for. Our room had a view of the cathedral which looked lovely at night. Every where was spotlessly clean and fresh, such a lovely place to stay. We would definitely go back to visit Barbara especially for the brownies!…
Returned to Lincoln for our granddaughter's delayed graduation and our second stay at The Allotment House did not disappoint. Barbara is a most welcoming host and with excellent breakfasts, homemade cakes and comfortable beds - who could ask for more. Highly recommended.
We have stayed in the Allotment House for the past few years and look forward to it each year; out of the many B&B’s I have stayed in, this is my favourite. Barbara is a very hospitable but unobtrusive host and her breakfasts are amazing. The room we stay in is very comfortable with a view of the cathedral. The house itself is within walking distance of Lincoln.
Lincoln is a lovely city to visit and the AH is an exceptional B&B run by Barbara. The breakfast is excellent and her homemade cakes are delicious. Barbara goes out of her way to spoil and look after you. We really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend a stay there as we already have done to friends.
Everything you could want in a first class B&B. Barbara was so lovely , a very warm welcome with tasty home made cakes and a cup of tea. A very comfortable bedroom with spacious en-suite and a pretty view of the lovely garden and the cathedral in the background. It is an easy walk into Lincoln and takes about 20 minutes. Can’t recommend this B&B highly enough!
