We stayed here for 2 nights in October and found it to be a lovely comfortable hotel where we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were doing their best to cope with the current situation and we never felt in danger although there was a bit of an enthusiastic air con unit in the dining room we had to ask to be moved from. We had breakfasts, one lunch and dinners here and on the whole, found the food good. We would definitely return when we are able to.

Stayed in the garden room for my wedding Anniversary. Room was clean, power shower excellent and staff professional. Negatives, upper floor landing smelled of urine definite smell, some areas need a paint job, outside garden needs tidying up and has so much potential, no lights in garden area at night so if you sit out you are in darkness, bar area/ dining area needs separating so there is more seating to have just a drink and lounge.Menue good but annoying when you pick something and told it's not on menus tonight. Overall nice hotel but could be better.

Stayed on the Friday night offer - dinner, bed & breakfast with free bottle of Prosecco. Excellent value for money & the dinner was amazing - taste & presentation second to none although we did miss the crispy shallot rings that were missing from our pigeon starter. Breakfast was good, however felt the sausages and bacon had been cooked beforehand and kept warm as they had dried out and were tough. We stayed in Room 308, there were a few marks on the carpet, slight damage to bath panel, one of the bedside lights didn’t work & felt the bed base could have been dressed rather than leaving it exposed. The room did have a slight smell of stale water but we only stayed one night & the view of the cathedral made up for it. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would stay again.

Lovely hotel right opposite the Cathedral, we stayed for 1 night bed and breakfast, we were able to go down to the dining room for breakfast they did offer in room service too. Good selection on menu obviously unable to use buffet due to covid, but we didn't miss out on anything, the staff were great and nothing was too much trouble for them, they even suggested some places to visit. I would definitely stay here again if we were to visit Lincoln. Very covid safe ... well done Lincoln hotel :)

We just visited for dinner while staying in Lincoln. Menu looked good and we ate in the Green Room. However, the food, when it eventually arrived, tasted ok but was tepid - definitely not hot! Plates were cold to the touch (how can they not have been warmed first!!??) Unsurprisingly, the side of veg (in a cold bowl) cooled down very fast ... yeuchh! For once, we raised an issue ... we were offered fresh food, but couldn’t wait another 1/2 hour. The complaint was noted and we got free desserts - and still the sticky toffee pud was tepid! Too weary to make another fuss or knock 50% off the bill (my partner’s suggestion). When we left, we noticed the poor waitress walking with 2 plates of food down a long corridor from one side of the hotel, through Reception, to the restaurant on the other side!!! Hardly surprising the food dropped in temperature (if it was even hot to start with?) We won’t be going back.
