Located on a pedestrianised square in the centre of Leicester, this is an ideal place to discover the city centre on foot ( eg. 0.5km to Richard III centre). Only challenge is finding the nearest car park, with whom the hotel have a discount arrangement. Room furnishings are modern and comfortable. There is a restaurant of the same name on... More

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS - YES although the lift is fairly small. Maiyango was on the list of hotels that the international conference we attended had arranged special nightly rates. We wanted a hotel closer to the medieval streets of the city centre than the university. The Maiyango’s location midway between the modernity of Highcross shopping centre and the medieval streets of... More

The room was beautiful, lovely comfy bed and a nice bathroom with cowshed toiletries. Tea & coffee provided. Good location to central Leicester but unfortunately right next door to a Nightclub so very noisy, did not get very much sleep. Our room was at the front of the hotel, whether rooms else where in the hotel would be quieter I... More

Hotel Maiyango offered a large room, pleasant atmosphere and a nice breakfast. Rather than battling a buffet we could keep the breakfast as small or large as we wished. For a six night stay we had booked a superior room which gave as all the comfort and space needed.

Stayed at hotel with family group for 6 days as part of graduation trip. Loved the decor - bright and colourful. In-room amenities great - fresh milk for morning tea. Great location - easy access to all the city has to offer. Loved the rooftop lounge and terrace. Staff friendly, polite and professional,

The hotel was perfect for us.Interesting decor, comfortable furniture, fabulous staff, great location and great food. The staff could not have been better. Great hotel. Book early, not many rooms - thought that makes it feel more homely, relaxed and personal

We went to maiyango on Sunday for breakfast. Waiter Adam and the whole atmosphere were lovely. We sat outside and had some delicious coffee. However breakfast was a bit disappointing... Meats were dry, bacon was extremely salty, bread was like a rock it was impossible to enjoy it and where are your baked beans?!

Outstanding eclectic hotel with friendly and helpful staff plus spacious and comfortable rooms. Recommended for a short stay in Leicester. The restaurant with the same name is a "must". The food is outstanding and the staff extremely friendly and helpful.

My sister and I booked into the Hotel Maiyango for an overnight stay. The hotel is right in the centre of Leicester and so very convenient but not at all noisy. We had a works celebration to attend so we didn't eat at the hotel but the room was very elegant, very clean, very large and very well equipped. There... More
