We went for a walk in the autumn sunshine and ended up at the Abbey. The restaurant serves a small but appealing choice of snacks and main meals. The dog got offered a bowl of water while we had some homemade vegetable soup and warm bread. The staff were cheerful and helpful and the setting was lovely. Others around us... More

With a group of 30 we stayed Friday to Sunday at this relaxing hotel. The bedrooms are very comfortable & clean with views over gardens. Staff very friendly & helpful especially Mark. We all had a wonderful time with delicious food & attentive service. So peaceful & relaxing.

A first visit to Launde Abbey for an organised five day residential Summer School. 30 residents doubling to 60 with day visitors. Launde is a beautiful building set in stunning grounds: gardens, woods, fields and, once outside, you are never far from sheep! I was in the new residential Stable Block - itself a brilliant pared-back classical building. The rooms... More

The most beautiful setting , spacious bedrooms , excellent staff, fantastic meal. Lovely relaxing atmosphere, great for a weekend to get away from absolutely everything! The grounds are very well taken care of too, we hired a private room for dinner and the service and food was second to none.

We stopped for a coffee and bacon bap whilst cycling and was very impressed with the venue and food. The coffee needs an extra shot but the bacon was delicious. Please visit if you are passing. The service was excellent and venue amazing. We will be back

Thank you for the feedback. It is great to see cyclists at Launde Abbey. Many of you find us by accident. It is a pleasure to provide rest to travellers. This was one of the Abbey's purposes when it was first build in 1125. More

I stayed at Launde Abbey for a Church overnight meeting. As retreat houses go it's very good; professionally run, excellent food, good meeting facilities. My bedroom in the main house was excellent; stylish; loads of space, comfy and clean. Bathroom was a bit small but that's no real matter. The food was great- cooked breakfast, wholesome dinner; no problems there.... More

This was our first time here, but it will not be the last. We initially used it as a 'break' point in a longer journey, and it was a terrific find. You do have to bear in mind that this is a retreat that will do B&B, thus the rooms do not have TV's, though do have access to Wi-Fi,... More

Thank you so much for your fantastic review. It is always great to serve new customers and we value the opportunity to do so. If you did not get time to see our Chapel please do so on the next visit. Had lunch and afternoon tea in this gorgeous old Abbey, with a group of friends. The staff were welcoming and extremely accommodating, the food was delicious and the setting is breath-taking. We were able to wander around both the Abbey and the grounds and the we all felt an amazing sense of peace and calm. Well worth a visit.

Returned yesterday from a weekend retreat. The place is set in a valley surrounded by trees. There are several footpaths around the estate. Very peaceful. Food excellent, catered for all different diets. Chef cooked me scrambled eggs when I asked him. Nothing was too much for the staff. The room was small but only there for one night. Room was... A truly superb Abbey retreat in beautiful grounds with excellent food and first class staff. Offering both accommodation and dining with specialist events. Hoping to get on the Snowdrop Walk with afternoon tea in the next couple of weeks! Rooms only got 4 as no TV but it is a retreat so probably quite right!
