Went to London then Leicester for a weekend. Found this place on booking.com. The first time a place on booking.com disappointed me. Been using this site a lot for all my trips. And it's always accurate. But my stay in London and Leicester was horrible. Campbell's "hotel" is actually a typical house found around U.K. Converted into a lodging. Arrived...

I have just checked out of the Campbells hotel after staying for 2 nights and what a pleasure it was indeed! The hotel is located down a quiet street and is in walking distance of a massive choice of restaurants and takeaways meaning I was spoilt for choice when it came to food. Staff members were extremely friendly and polite...

We got down to leicester at about 9 oclock after our long drive down from scotland (8 hours) We pulled up outside and seen that other people were waiting to get in to book in as nobody was answering the door. 2 minutes later a polish guy answered the door to let us in (i don't think he was staff)....

Hotel Staff friendly and helpful even going so far as to take care of tickets needed for parking. (£1 cost for 48 hours). It has had some bad rep but i...

The good points: clean sheets and bedding and ensuite, also close to De Monfort Uni (was visiting for Alcon). The not so good points: the ensuite was very odd with plastic walls and the light above the shower was broken as was the extractor fan. This was still better than the shared facilties which had the option of cold shower...
