Since my first visit a good few yrs ago, what had become a tired Hotel has been taken over by the Seddon Family who own the nearby Elgin and in 18 months are turning this Hotel back to what other people have said its former glory, in all the years I have stayed here at a function or on holiday... Along with my wife and three grandchildren we stayed here for five days and found the entire stay excellent. On arrival we were met by two friendly front of house staff and during the stay they were very helpful. The two rooms we had were not refurbished, but no complaints regarding the cleanliness, and they were cleaned each day and... More

We have stayed at this hotel for 25yrs. We were a bit apprehensive this year as first stay since new ownership. We were pleased that most things stayed the same as always. Brilliant food, excellent staff, cleanliness etc. The new seating in the lounge is really stylish and we found it comfortable. The fact that no children in the other... More

Our first visit since the new owners took over. Firstly the good points. Food excellent, staff polite, friendly and competent, hotel very clean. Disappointments were the size of the bedroom (105 - the smallest we have ever been given in this hotel in almost 20 years of visiting). The shower was tiny and the towel rail a very small one... Once again it's fair to say that the hotel is excellent value. Slightly more luxurious than before - up-dating still a work in progress, but that doesn't interfere with the holidaymaker. The management and staff try so hard to please. Nice to see lots of (summer?) staff in the dining room plus some of the older ones. All good and... More

Cleanliness is obviously something the Sheraton care about and this is evident throughout the hotel, whilst the hotel in parts is tired and in need of renovation (which I am led to believe is in the process of happening) the whole hotel is well maintained and cleaned. The issue in our room and many rooms speaking to other members of... More
