Totally disgusted with the room we were given at this hotel. Very small tv stuck on the front of wardrobe but the worst thing by far was the disgrace of the headboard with two large circles of the leatherette been badly worn where peoples heads had been resting so bad that the sponge under the leatherette was showing, not just... It's clear that there are a great many repeat visitors to the hotel, but I won't be one of them. On the plus side the hotel is easy to find and well located. We had problems with our TV and were quickly moved to another room. The hotel is in serious need of renovation. It feels old and grubby throughout.... More

After a rather good day at haydock races we arrived at the hotel about 8-30. Checkin was a bit of a pain as there was only one person to book 22 blokes in as well as dealing with other quests requirements, however after about 25 mins we were all sorted. We found the hotel and its staff very pleasant. Room... More

We stay at this hotel every year because all the staff (catering especially) and food is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for them and very polite as well. Rooms are spotless and recently been refurbished. Ideally situated close to shops and seafront, 5 minute walk, I would recommend this hotel to anyone

Visited Blackpool as a family of 4 ( children aged 13 & 10) for a long weekend . This hotel saved our break. After originally booking a different hotel in Blackpool where we arrived and discovered it was an utter cesspit, this hotel was like a breath of fresh air - literally. I had stayed many years ago at a... More

My wife and I made a return visit to the Ruskin for two nights on Friday 26th August 2016 for my birthday celebration. The last time we were at the Ruskin was approx 20 years ago. During our stay we visited the Winter Gardens to see Dirty Dancing on stage. The staff welcoming was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble.... More
