Believe it or not this place was recommended by a travel agent who had never been there. It was just like Fawlty Towers. Old, very old. And needs a good going over. I have to say that the room was clean, but there was no view out of the two Windows. We had to ask for clean towels and toilet... More

Before I write this review I should say the restaurant staff are exceptional. Always smiling and always asking about your day. These are the people who's jobs rely on guests and can do nothing to change just how bad this hotel is. The reception area is ok, roof leaks in the foyer. Corridors dirty and quite a bad smell. The... More

Stayed here for one night, paid for a sea view and the window was very small and disappointing , the room was clean with crisp white fresh bedding, the furniture all matched and was really nice. Tea and coffe in room and more from reception if wanted . Shower was good. But what a shame it's so run down an... More

I chose this hotel as its a landmark I've known for many years. Needed to stay 2 nights. Very disappointed, the hotel is in need of a lot of improvement, mattress looked filthy, didn't have a cover on. Paid more than it was worth. Could be a lovely hotel. Right on the sea front. Has a car park , have... More

We always use the Metropole Hotel because of its best position in Blackpool..but be aware unless you're in the know you will pay for premier dining only to be told this dining room is closed for your holiday..correction it is always closed last it opened was grand national day April We immediately asked for some money back and £40 was... We stayed here for our grandas 80th birthday celebrations. The location was ideal as it is very central. The room my partner and I were given was extremely small for a double and the Windows did not open which I was not happy about. The room seemed clean but it really could have done with painting. You would think for... More

Stayed here for one night with my daughter and her partner, O.M.G. this must be one of the worse hotels I have stayed in. I can appreciate that the hotel is pretty old, but it is also not very clean and rotten with dampness. The rooms were big, but paper was falling off the bathroom wall and the ceiling and... More
