The plus point to this hotel is the toybox for the kids and the free wifi. Also its in a good location. Unfortunately this is the only positives. I was disappointed by the poor cleanliness of the hotel. Our room was very dusty and hadnt been hoovered. The toilet wasnt cleaned properly and had pubic hair on the seat. Also... More

Just returned from a two night stay here. I emailed the night before arrival to advise of approximate arrival time. On arrival, check in was easy and quick and the owner very polite and friendly. Our room was number 1, at the top of the stairs. The room itself was very clean and had everything we needed. Any hot breakfast... More

We came for our daughters birthday weekend with friend so needed 2 rooms. After reading the reviews and wanting to stay away from the main strip this seemed like the ideal hotel. Greeted by the owner who I could only describe as eagerly wanting to get your money, give you the room key and then getting back to her telly... More

I was also disappointed to read your review for a number of reasons. I assume by the comment relating to 'eagerly waiting to get money' you refer to our policy of payment. We take a deposit equal to the first night's stay to confirm any booking, and the balance is due on arrival. This ensures that, as has happened in... More

The Brayton is a lovely comfortable place to stay right at GYNN SQUARE, just past Tower & Central Blackpool. Bus 1, 3 & 4 & Tram. stop almost within spitting distance. Its dog friendly, and your dog gets a sausage for Breakfast. Not to most people it isn't a great deal when your dog gets a sausage. But to Dog... More

Nice clean hotel with comfy beds and super thick duvets and pillows which is a refreshing change for a B&B. Other than check in didn't see the owners but was nice not to have staff breathing down our neck. Breakfast was lovely and some of the best bacon I've ever had! Location is great as overlooking the park and very... More

The rooms were pokey to say the least and looked liked furniture & beds... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review - it would have been appreciated if you had addressed your concerns to us directly then we would have had at least a chance to respond. The hotel is certainly family and dog friendly (as other reviews will testify). The only area where dogs are not permitted (service dogs excepted)... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the quieter North Shore area of Blackpool, the family-run, The Brayton overlooks Gynn Gardens a grassy park with childrens playground, and the Promenade. During the Illuminations, a stretch of the lights are visible from the hotel (2011 - 2nd September - 6th November inclusive). There is free on-street parking, generous cooked breakfasts and cosy en suite bedrooms. The individual rooms at The Brayton each have a private bathroom, and hospitality facilities with mineral water and biscuits. A ground floor room is also available. Many rooms have LCD TVs with Freeview, and all feature complimentary toiletries. Travel cots and bedding are available on request for the family rooms at a charge of £3.50 per cot per night. High chairs and baby/toddler cutlery are also available in the restaurant. Delicious full English breakfasts made from locally sourced fresh ingredients are served daily, with lighter options and childrens portions also available. The well-stocked bar offers beverages and snacks, and a selection of freshly prepared light meals are available from noon until 9pm each day. A 2 or 3 course dinner menu is also available by prior arrangement. Packed lunches can also be arranged. Just a 20-minute walk or 5-minute tram ride from Blackpool's lively centre, The Brayton Hotel is a mile from Blackpool's North Pier and is handy for Blackpool Tower, The Winter Gardens and a number of the major conference venues. The Hotel is ideally situated for Promenade access by foot or tram or car - one minute's drive so ideal during the Illuminations. On request, a free shuttle service to the town centre is available for large groups. The Brayton can also offer secure covered storage for bicycles/motorbikes for guests. The Brayton caters for single travellers, couples, families and group bookings but regret that stag and hen parties can not be accommodated. The maximum number of adult occupants in a family room is 2. The Brayton is strictly non-smoking - if guests do smoke in a room, then the total cost of deep cleaning the room will be charged. ... more   less
