We stayed here as part of a Groupon deal. Despite the COVID restrictions at the time of our visit (11-13 October 2020) some of the hotel facilities were not available. However the staff were very welcoming. Our room was at the rear of the hotel but the staff were happy to offer us a room with a sea view if we wished to do so. We decided to stay in our allocated. This was a large room with a large bathroom which had a bath. On the Monday evening of our stay we dined n the restaurant we had a three course dinner which was excellent fine dining, in particular my desert, a chocolate brownie with cherry’s and a Kirsch sauce was first class. Breakfast was also organised extremely efficiently. With tables set apart and the cutlery delivered to the tables in a plastic “seaside” bucket. Ensuring it was clean and fresh for each guest. With all the COVID restrictions we were very impressed with the way the hotel managed the public areas ensuring that the tables and chairs in were kept cleaned and sanitised. We would be happy to book another stay here again.…
We visit the Imperial Hotel every year but was unable to do so this year in September. We had to cancel the booking. The staff was very understanding and refunded our money . Customer service was excellent and we are looking forward to going there next year.
We got an excellent deal for the hotel through a voucher company. It included breakfast but we also made reservations for dinner due to tier 3 restrictions in Blackpool. The hotel is very grand on the ground floor. However, the rooms could do with some attention. My headboard was scuffed, there were black marks on the walls and one of the net curtains was ripped. That being said, I did see a sign that said some rooms were being decorated so maybe it just needs refreshing. The size of the room was excellent with a handy closet, rather than a wardrobe taking up more space. Everywhere was very clean. The shower was hot and powerful, much needed given the hammering rain and wind outside! We weren’t worried about the tier 3 restrictions, the hotel felt safer than supermarkets. Due to booking in advance for the restaurant we got a 3 course meal for £22 each. The food was lovely. My only issue is that the mint gel on the lemon cremeux tasted like mouthwash. Everything else was beautiful. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was very tasty. The restaurant wasn’t busy either time, presumably due to restrictions. We would all happily go back.…
We were bought a voucher for a 3 course dinner for our Wedding Anniversary having had our Wedding reception at The Imperial a good few years ago.. We visited yesterday evening some 5 months after our Anniversary! The service, food and Covid-19 compliance was excellent. Due to the hotel being extremely quiet ( due to Blackpool being in Tier 3 restrictions) our dinner was served in the smaller Churchill Room rather than the main restaurant. The menu was varied with a good choice despite the small number of diners. A special mention must go to Frank our lovely waiter who made us feel at ease and his service was exemplary throughout our evening. If you like delicious food that is excellent value served in traditional surroundings then I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit.
One word... Exceptional!!! From booking in uncertain times to arriving we need not have worried one bit. Fantastic communication addressing any concerns and requests we had, the staff here are phenomenal and our absolute highest praise is reserved for Alison, such an amazingly kind considerate and respectful lady you are truly deserving of your general manager title and you are like superwoman the amount you do. From arrival the check in was super quick and extremely friendly with the highest level of cleanliness and safety precautions being followed everywhere which under the circumstances made you feel very safe indeed. Arrived at our room (109 which was a premier family room) we had a beautiful welcome card and complimentary gift, alongside our wine which I pre booked as a special treat all professionally arranged by a lovely lady who showed us in. Beautiful room with side sea view and lovely seating area, the beds were so comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. All the usual amenities together with extras such as dressing gown and slippers made this even more special a real pamper treat. Very warm and cosy such a wonderful atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble at all. We ate in the lounge bar and again received superb service by the fab bar manager and food was delicious all freshly made and very reasonably priced too. After venturing out to what can only be described as a very sad solemn and quiet town it was heartbreaking to see such an amazing place suffering so badly but we made the most of what we could. We returned to a wonderfully warm welcome and retreated to bed where 2 out of 3 slept soundly (1 loud snorer kept someone awake 🙄) and woke up feeling very refreshed. Even though the hotel was not busy the rooms are super quiet and no outside noise either. Amazing shower and ample space for 3 ladies to get ready in without argument leads to a very happy outcome for all. Breakfast was served in the grandest of dining rooms and was a delicious full cooked with tea, coffee, juice, toast etc ready to set you up for the day, alongside the cereals, baked items, fruits and yoghurts there was plenty for all. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and it is most definitely worth it and cannot wait to return hopefully In better times real soon and we will be recommending to everyone we know. We wish you all the very best Imperial team you are amazing and thank you for our memories made.…
