We have just come back from a stay at the Long Eaton Hotel, and although we got a deal through Groupon we were somewhat disappointed. There was no tv in the room which they claim to have in every room. The taps dont work unless u put them on full wack and water goes everywhere. The shower water was just... More

we decided to go to blackpool on the spur of the moment. We decided just to drive down and see what we could find. On route we look on the groupon and found this hotel booked and purchase the voucher for myself partner, son and dog in tow. The hotel takes in animals which is good if you have pets.... More

My wife and I booked a one night stay for 7th to 8th June 2014 - my wife's birthday. We made the booking via Groupon in 2013 and since then the hotel had changed owners. However, we were pleased to hear that the new owners would honour the Groupon deal. We arrived early, parking in the street without restriction and... More

We were in room 24, which was not to bad considering the price we paid. We stayed for a week end (30 may to 1 june 2014). Everything went down hill from there. We never got a nights sleep due to people outside the hotel shouting, laughing or being a right pain. This is at 2-3-4 o clock in the... More

We were given room 18 at first and it was so depressing that we went and asked to change to another room which they did to room 14 but that had dog hairs all over the carpet and on the sofa I decided to just accept it rather than complain again I think wowcher customers get the inferior rooms. Although... More

We have just received a response on our original trip advisor rating on this hotel from the "new management", and wish to put the record straight. This voucher was bought in November 2013 so 5 months before our actual visit and not one year. The offer was made with Go Groupie and the Long Eaton Hotel and sold as 2... More

A very nice warm welcome by John the receptionist, we checked in nice and quick and was showed straight to our rooms, the rooms were great value for money as I and my girlfriend had a great big room and it had an en-suite bathroom. The whole place could of had a lick of paint though but you get what... More

Unwelcome arrival. We were told that she had nothing to do with Go Groupie who we had booked the deal with as apparently they had taken over. We had travelled 5 hours and didn't want to hear this as it wasn't our issue. We were allocated a room which was filthy. Dinner was a joke. It appeared to be am... More

With regards to you stay at the Long Eaton, since you bought your voucher almost 12 months ago the hotel has been taken over by new owners, the previous owner went out of business therefore your voucher was void and you should have contacted go-groopie, so in a way yes it was your problem. BUT as it was bank holiday... More

“We can only judge room 20. It's OK for a short stay. Slept well - no noise problems.”

“Try the premium room upgrade that was available to move to a four poster bed, flat screen TV and bottle of wine for a small fee! worth a pop if you can do it. If you want to explore Blackpool, try the Blackpool Resort Pass. It covers a lot of the good attractions, including the pleasure beach, tower, and Tussads and is incredibly good value. To get around get an all day tram pass. Trams make moving around Blackpool easy.”
