Considering this was the first day of opening since Lockdown, the ibis Blackpool was clean, the staff (all in masks) were friendly, helpful and proffesional. The rooms are comfy and well equipped, and great value. We stayed for 1 night and were really satisfied. It is a great location for getting to the Tower, North and Central Pier, and the centre of Blackpool. Highly recommend for a mini-staycation.

Come to realise after booking that the hotel is still closed and unable to provide a date when it is reopening. They were fast a responding to emails but unable to provide any useful information as to when they can open. They are accepting bookings but not taking payment out til its confirmed. Just book with caution please

I am writing this review having not even stayed at the hotel yet. Booked months ago through hotels.com and paid in full at the time of booking. 2 days before I am due to travel over 200 miles to stay at the hotel, my other party who booked separately through the hotel themselves received an email stating that the hotel was closed and their reservation had been cancelled. I had personally had no contact from either the hotel or hotels.com regarding this and upon further investigation, I find out that the hotel is actually closed and that no one was planning on informing me. This is now 1 day before I am due to travel and I have had to book another hotel due to being let down by this one. No answer of phone calls from the hotel, no incline of a refund (which has now been escalated further by hotels.com) and extremely poor customer service. Only a poorly educated email from the owning company saying they didn’t know the hotel was closed (total BS!!). If my other party hadn’t checked their emails then I would’ve travelled that distance blind, not knowing anything about its closure. Having read previous reviews, I can see the hotel only want money from people without actually stating the hotel is closed. Stay away from these money grabbing people.

Booked two nights away back in Feb (due to stay 14-16th July) and was worried about my booking being cancelled due to Covid. I rang the hotel to confirm my booking the week before to be on the safe side because I hadn’t heard anything about it, to which my booking was confirmed and was told I would hear from someone if it wasn’t going ahead. My friend and I drove down the following week to a boarded up exterior and a sign on the door saying the hotel was closed. I rang the hotel and was greeted with an extremely rude member of staff who simply said the hotel was closed. I explained that I’d been told the previous week that my booking was still happening and she just said no the hotel is closed. No apology or offer to refund all of the money we had already paid. Extremely rude customer service, I wouldn’t trust this place again. All they cared about was keeping their money.
