It was delightful from start to finish. Thank you everyone including the waiters as the service was second to none and the food was divine. I look forward to returning in...

I could wax lyrical about this beautiful hotel, and the stunning location; the marvellous staff, from Philip and of course the 'Amazing Andrew', to the waitresses and domestic staff; the recommendation of excellent services provided by the hairdresser, musicians, friendly photographers and fabulous D.J.; but I feel I can summarise my opinion of this venue with the one word my...

Stayed for a couple of nights using the hotel as a base for fell walking. All I can say is what a fantastic place, beautiful location, top quality rooms, excellent breakfast and very pleasant staff. After a long day in the fells a nice hot bath and a comfortable bed are must, Cragwood provides both. I will definitely be staying...

Cragwood is a beautiful Country house nestled in it's own grounds on the Banks of the wonderful Windermere Lake. The room was spotless and of a good size (though very warm! Breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly. During our stay we enjoyed a roam around the grounds, and after eating in the town, playing board games in the lounge...

We chose Cragwood based on the excellent reviews, for a one night stay on a Friday. We arrived driving up the private road to the hotel, daffodils each side, looked wonderful! We were checked in by a lovely FOH member, and she actually walked us to our room while giving info - great! Seen reviews here about the old and...

We got married at the Cragwood nearly 20 years ago. It was wonderful then and it is wonderful now. Our comfortable bedroom and the downstairs sitting rooms have been skilfully decorated to bring back the ambiance of the 1910 house. Don't expect whiz-bang modernity. Do expect ultra-high standards in cleanliness, comfort and service. The staff here are all excellent and...

This is my only free weekend for many months so decided we would look for somewhere special where we could go with the dogs. After looking on line for ages (and being a hotelier) I do look at everything. I finally found Cragwood. There is nothing negative to say about this place. It is set in its own ground which...
