Homemade granola, fresh fruit, cooked daily specials including smoked salmon scrambled egg on a bagel and eggs benedict -all excellent! We stayed in room 2, which was a twin bedded room with the beds pushed together to make one huge double bed which was very comfortable, overlooking the owners garden with a view of the distant hills. The room was... More

We have spent a couple of days in the Lakes. This B and B was great. The hosts are friendly and helpful. They supplied us with very knowledgeable info about Lake District walks and even lent us the map! The breakfast were terrific with homemade yoghurt and granola. The food is cooked to order and so at its best. Our... More

Stayed for two nights with my partner. Location is fab, literally a 5minute walk into town. Stunning views from the bedroom window, the owners very well kept garden with the mountains behind. Food was fantastic, we had a freshly cooked fry-up both mornings which was spot on. Only bad point would be the room. It was moderately sized, however the... More

Just had a long weekend in Laurel Cottage, great B&B with great breakfast, made to order with specials added in. Owners Wayne and Alison made us feel very welcome, our first stay, hopefully visit again in the future. Great location just off the main road but not too far away.

Recently stayed at Laurel Cottage in Room 4 for three nights with my fiance. We really enjoyed staying in the B&B. Clean and tidy, and the breakfast was amazing! Each day there was a different 'special' that you could have, which meant you did not have to have a full English breakfast if you did not want to, and they... More

After sat nav sent us the wrong way we finally arrived to a friendly greeting and introduction of the rules and regulations of this lovely B & B. The room on the top floor was comfortable and clean. The only thing we would have liked to see is a toilet brush. As we like playing games a small table could... More
