We spent a long weekend in the Nook. It's absolutely spot-on and the owners are genuinely nice people. It's clean, tidy, well equipped and in a nice quiet location halfway between Bowness and Windermere. We loved it and will be staying here again.

We stayed the weekend here at Ivythwaite Lodge. The house is between Windermere town and lake Windermere and set back in a side road.It is so peaceful and quiet with no background noise. The breakfasts were superb and the whole place is beautifully decorated and feels authentic to the 1890s era of the house. Many thanks to Wendy and Mick... More

Just returned from a long weekend here, Wendy & Mick were great hosts who served up fantastic breakfast that set you up for the day. The guest house was lovely and clean, set well back from the main road and within easy walking distance for Bowness or Windermere.

A beautiful house, with a lovely room, delicious breakfasts and friendly staff in a very convenient location. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and amazing bathroom and had coffee and tea provided daily. It was easy for us to walk to both Windermere and Bowness and the lake was under a mile away. Would definitely recommend!

Not a lot to say really, apart from we've been to a lot of B&B's in our time, and this place is fantastic! From the moment we met Mick, he made us feel extremely welcome. Every time we saw him, we chatted for ages, felt like we'd known him for years! The room was great, very clean and comfy. Fantastic... More

Me and my partner have just stayed here for 3 nights. We struggled to find it as it's quite hidden in the street and the sign wasn't in clear view but once we did we thought it was lovely from the outside. Mick was very friendly, we didn't get to meet Wendy as she was on holiday. We stayed in... More

My wife and I stayed at the Ivythwaite Lodge a few weeks back and felt we had to tell people of our experiences. First of all is the location,it is situated only a 10 minute walk down to all that Windermere has to offer. We arrived about 2.30 pm and were shown to our room (number 2). The owners are... More
