We stayed here for 2 nights and must say the bed is so comfortable and the breakfast lovely. However one or two things let it down no bulbs in the bedside lamps, also 2 where missing from the bathroom and 2 from the main light fitting, also toilet seat was broken and signs of damp under the window. The room...

Stayed with friends overnight. Bar is traditional country pub & dog friendly. Good menu! Good bar! Spacious with a large Open fire and separate dining room. 5 minutes walk from train station. Rooms newly decorated and modern with new beds. Bath/ shower rooms all new exceptional quality. Breakfast is plentiful and excellent. Will definitely return X

Where to start, my husband invited we for a long weekend away in Windermere and we staid at The Elleray. When there I could not find anybody to check in and when I finally found somebody there was a confusion if the room was paid or not. There is no parking if you bring a car but you can park...

Stayed in Windermere recently and went out for lunch to The Elleray. Could not believe how reasonable the prices were and thought, wrongly, you get what you pay for. What a pleasant surprise though, the food was absolutely superb and home cooked fresh. Really, truly enjoyed a lovely meal. Well worth a visit.

We come here on our yearly trip to Windermere. We originally chose it as we could get our pushchair in easily, but it has become a regular stop. The food is good, a decent price for the Lakes. Plenty of veggie choices - I usually go for the omelette. Staff are always friendly.

The hotel had a perfect location! It was a few minutes walk from Windermere railway station, and it was also near the tourist information centre and Orrest Head, which is a beautiful scenic spot (worth the climb!) The room was a bit on the small side but the bed was big and cosy. The room and toilet were kept very...

We called recently for an evening meal. We were really impressed with the large portions of home cooked meals. Drinks were pricey, but it is the Lakes. We would definitely eat there again.i tried the chicken curry which was packed full of chicken pieces on a large portion of rice.

We arrived at the Windermere train station exhausted after a 25-hour journey from the States. It was a very easy walk to the Elleroy, even while pulling our suitcases. We were a tad early for check-in but were allowed to leave our luggage at the bar so we could have a look around the town. Our room was very clean...
